"Left Right" charted on the Top 40 U.S. Pop Radio chart for a record 13 consecutive weeks which was an all-time record for any Asian girl group ever. It was also named as one of the "TOP 100 Songs of 2023" by Rolling Stone, Spotify, Tidal and ELLE. Even R&B legend Ciara jumped on the official remix of Left Right with Jackson Wang.

I was thinking of commenting something similar since channel reactors didn't have much knowledge of who XG are, but I was late 😅🤣🤣 just add one more thing. On March 18, XG announced that they would be embarking on their first-ever world tour, title ‘The First Howl’, which will include shows and concerts in Asia, North America, Europe and more.
The girl group will kick-off their trek with a two-date show at the Osaka-Jo Hall in Osaka, Japan on May 18. In the same month, they will also play concerts in the Japanese city of Yokohama.
While the dates for the rest of XG’s 2024 ‘The First Howl’ world tour in Asia have yet to be announced, they have teased concerts in cities such as Bangkok, Singapore, Taipei, Seoul and more.
The girl group have also revealed upcoming legs in North America and Europe, set to take place in October and November this year

They have set high standard for me. XG is different.
If you guys enjoy rap, XG's rap line: Cocona. Maya, Harvey, and Jurin is one of the best rap lines(if not the best) of any girl group. Especially the youngest member of XG Cocona. She is a Prodigy Rap Queen that also has a phenomenal voice(which Simon(producer of XG) as yet to unveil). All of XG's members are exceptional not a weak member in the group. Japanese group based and trained in South Korea and sing also in English. Their music videos are in English though some of the rap has mixture of all three languages. Rap Line: Jurin, Coconna, Maya and Harvey. Vocal line is Chisa, Hinata and Juria. So, they can sing, rap, dance at very high levels, So you will want to check out some of their dance videos or dance practices (you will be impressed). And check out their rap which are the Tapes 1 through 4 (and you can see them rap on different beats or individually or in various pairings). Same goes for the vocal line and you can. see them in the Vox tapes. Again individually, in different pairings or all together. Then the dance videos you should see dance tape 1 is pre-debut and gives you an idea of just what they can do. Then dance tape 2 has each of the members dancing short clips individually and you can see the wide range of individual talent. They've only debuted for I think a bit over two years? But have been training for some years before that. I've followed Black Pink and Baby Metal too and love those groups but at the moment XG are my favourites and most interesting. I had some high hopes for Baby Monster who are promoted by the same company as Black Pink and they had some interesting pre-debut stuff but not sure if they have hit their stride yet. Anyway, you have a lot to dive into with XG and I think when you do, you'll find that like a lot of groups from that part of the world, you will have some new and loyal followers. Enjoy.

All of their released group songs to date are all in English, although the rap line (4 members: Jurin, Harvey, Cocona, Maya) has put out mix tapes, one of which went viral back in late 2022, XG TAPE #2, GALZ XYPER and those often have a mix of English, Japanese (their native language), and Korean. They just recently (in the 10 days) released XG TAPE #4 with individual short (1:30-ish) raps from each of the rap line members plus one rap line group song and all of the individual songs has already gotten over 1 million views. The vocal line (3 members: Chisa, Juria, Hinata) have produced VOX videos which are also in a mix of English, Japanese, and Korean songs showing their vocal talent. If you liked the R&B sound, I'd second Winter Without You and then Shooting Star as a good path to follow - Shooting Star came out along with Left Right, but adds in more rap/hip-hop to the sound. You might also be interested in their next single, coming out on May 21st which will apparently be their first rap group song, called WOKE UP.

All of their songs pretty much have a different vibe to them. Shooting Star is usually up there with this one. Tippy Toes was their debut song. Winter Without You is from this last christmas and should have been EVERYWHERE! It also had a heavy 2000's r&b vibe. Puppet Show is a pretty unique song too. Really, they don't make bad songs in general though.

Hey...so i dont know how nuch of a deep dive you will do on XG...but if you do, pls make sure to always put on the captions because understanding the lyrics is very important when it comes to reacting to XG. I have to correct you when you mentioned that they generated from North America that’s not accurate. They’re based out in South Korea. They are not considered K-pop or J-pop they think of themselves as a global group that’s why they sing and rap in American language. But also sing and rap in Japanese as well as in Korean language. So happy that you’re finally checking them out there’s no one like XG out there. They have dance practices just like Korean K-pop that’s why they get mistaken. Ask K-pop I think 🤔 however you should check out their debut song Tippy Toes followed by mascara….

While not a fan of this genre of music, this group (which my grandsons - who are a mix of Japanese and Anglo parentage - refer to as a K-pop group) is ok. What stands out to me is the difference in honest artistry between these manufactured groups and those bands which grew organically.
There is also a great forestella group in Korea. I recommend it
