It was kind of hilarious watching a 37 year old Modric just stroll through Liverpools midfield like they weren't even there, but let's be honest, Liverpool deserved to lose by even more.

Klopp should take a lot of the blame for some of the defensive lapse. Trent Arnold has been playing in that team for quite a while and the guy is symbolic defensively yet Klopp has not forced him to learn the skill set needed by benching him. I feel for Gomez because he does not play in the team consistently it's hard to learn the team chemistry as a CB. The midfield needs overhaul and Salah is still too revered at the front and lacks effective workrate.

for me as Liverpool fan, the 5th goal also showed why our midfield is such a shambles.
i've been screaming since November that: 1) if we don't sign at least 2-3 athletic midfielders in the Winter transfer market then our season's done and 2) if Klopp plays a high line against Real Madrid then we are gonna be demolished. And guess what happened next.
and the worst part of it all is that i KNEW it was gonna happen.
Klopp has to take responsibility.He made excuses about why our squad did not need to sign any midfielders in the Summer transfer window and then at the end of the window he proceeded to admit that he was wrong and then sign Arthur on loan. And then he goes back into saying that our squad is ''good'' during the Winter transfer window despite our poor performances. As much as i love Klopp but his stubborness, over-sentimentality, lack of ruthlessness and stale tactics have led our club to the position which we find ourselves in.
Fair play to Real Madrid for not losing their heads even while 2-0 down, but Klopp and his players need to hang their heads in shame.
