Fun Fact : 250cc class are more popular category in All Japan Road Racing Championship, many japanese riders start their professional race duty in this class for a "Wild Card" ticket.

The following year's race was even more beautiful. Then Kato won on Honda, and Harada had switched to Aprilia. Japanese rider on European motorcycle was something interesting. I really wonder what a Japanese rider would be like on a Ducati in Motogp today? It's a pity that Honda is not found again, I hope that someday it will return to what it was!

This was the last year before the unleaded fuel requirements - 105 horsepower and 92 kilo MINIMUM weight- Why in GOD'S NAME did they decided to replace these ROCKETSHIPS with 4 strokes is beyond belief-

Because the factories (Honda, Aprilia, Yamaha, didn’t care for the 2 strokes, because they saw no market application
      It was a shame, really.
These bikes could easily have 130 hp or more today

Something tells me Biaggi went out of his way to prove a point here. Still spanking the bike with an 8 seconds lead 🤜💥🤛

@trickymario7654 Thank you kindly for these videos. The Sheene/Eastlake combo make them fun to listen to more than just once. Current commentators could stand to loosen up a bit and talk about something besides tires.

It’s nice to have an archive of races which feature their commentary. I’ve got like half of their races alone on here.

Harada hated that Yamaha with the down sloping rear. It was supposed to cancel out the slipstream. Think 96 was the only year Yamaha used that design.

Biaggi certainly had a lot of 250cc success on the Aprilia, especially when he learnt to stop dropping the bike while leading races.
