I bought one a few weeks ago and do really like it. So easy to start after I figured it out prior to finding your video. It is a bit difficult to plug in the battery and get it out of the mower due to weak wrists but still much better then pulling a cord over and over to start. Still trying to figure out how to mow grass on the curb. It gets stuck. Maybe I need to raise the wheels? Just an old lady l learning how to do things. Now trying to figure out how to stand it up to store. Your video is excellent !!! I'm glad I found it.

I've gone through one season with a dual battery version of the Greenworks 80v mower, and so far it's been a great upgrade from my old 19" 40v mower that I'd hoped for. I gave the 40v Greenworks mower to a friend, and it's still going strong after seven years, but my yard is a little too large for the 40v to manage when I've been away and the grass gets 8 to 10" tall. The 80v is very powerful, but goes through batteries when cutting tall grass. With a sharp blade it performs just a strong as my supposed 6.5 hp Honda gas, which was about equal to a 5hp Briggs. I'd recommend 4ah or better batteries.

I paid less for mine, but I also only got one battery. I love the two speed feature. I always hated how most mowers slow down when you run across thicker stuff but this one speeds up to adjust to the thicker stuff.

Thank you. No particular reason that I picked the GreenWorks. Mainly because I had seen it recommended before, and it just so happened to be on sale at the time when I was looking. The EGO and Toro could be just as good or better.
I had the Kobalt 80 volt from Lowes for a few years, gave it to someone else, and now it’s starting its 5th year and their happy with it. This will be my 2nd year with the GreenWorks.
Regardless, I’m very happy with the electric mowers. And won’t buy gas again; it’s a whole different experience mowing the yard.

You remove the battery by pulling the battery. Don’t pull ‘upwards’ on the battery, pull it ‘outwards’ from the charger. It would be the exact opposite way of how you put it on the charger. It might take a little force, but it’ll slide off the charger. Hope that helps.

Has anyone noticed if their motor shaft is wobbly/not true? I have two 21" non self propelled 80 volt mowers and one self propelled and all 3 the shafts are wobbly and so each end of the blade does not travel on the same plane, but rather roughly close to 1/2" apart which is not good and likely affects the cut quality. Here is a video I made attempting to show mine. If nothing else, you can see the wobble in the plastic piece with the fins...
    m.czcams.com/video/3sv7fbDqzhE/video.html&pp=ygUdZ3JlZW53b3JrcyBtb3dlciBibGFkZSB3b2JibGU%3D
Also in the self propelled there was an extra screw in the drive wheel which started to destroy the plastic gear. I've heard of others having that too. As if a worker in the factory leaves it in there for the fun of it.
