Truck stop truck camping in my diagonal dual cab truck camper

I'm back camping in the diagonal dual cab truck/ute camper setup and decided to camp at a truck stop to see what it was like camping in a busy spot. In the morning I went to visit Australia's most famous Bushranger and very own Ironman.

Slept in the car in plenty of truck stops and rest areas over the years. Your set up looks a lot more comfortable than mine.
It was definitely an experience and not exactly the first type of spot that comes to mind when you think about going camping. Yeah the diagonal camper setup in the back is super comfy now after some upgrades.
Ok first off I have the exact same canopy. Now I'm seriously looking into this as a permanent thing. Heating: I would probably boil a billy and have some hot water bottles and use the diesel heater to heat up the canopy in the morning to dry out the condensation. Summer I'd probably use some acm sheets attached to the underside of the roof racks that way the canopy is permanently in the shade. Just some thoughts. Live the ideas you have.
Thanks David. If I have access to 240v power I also have a way to air-condition this setup as well.

Interesting, I just got back from 4 days camping and hiking, spent a few nights sleeping in my i30 lol…. -1 at night 🥶 look forward to the stealth adventures 😉
How do you fit your kayak on top of an i30?
@@AllThingsOutdoors both Hobie and the 4.2 Winner no issues, they stick out the back a bit so I shove a red remove before flight flag on it lol

Pickles are the best part! Get rid of the tomatoes.
