I recently got to know the musical "Evita" a little more and I obviously listened to this masterpiece by Andrew Lloyd Webber. Well, that's one of the most famous songs from Broadway, performed by many vocal legends such as Elaine Paige, so I tried to arrange it for piano solo, too. Here is "Don't Cry For Me Argentina" and I hope you like it!

Yes, but I personally would like to hear HIS 🎹 interpretation of Elton’s ‘Levon’ even more! (I’ve seen EJ perform it recently and he has put a LOT more emphasis on the piano playing vs in his earlier years when he did it very differently, focusing more on the lyrics and singing.)

@@elainemeyer5062 this central piece of the musical Evita tells a story of Eva Peron, the wife of the Argentinian president (time appropriate with the change in policies with the recent election). The lyrics and song reflect the country's greatness and period of economic struggles. The song lyrics I interpret is about the grandeur and nation rich in history e.g. "Dressed up to the nines" of fancy clothing of a girl once young/poor now possessing wealth.
The song also alludes controversies by Eva's legacy and the Government at the time, struggles of Argentina reflecting now by downturn and difficulties faced by the citizens. Eva's story gives hope and reflection of Argentina's journey - with glory and periods of hardship. hm, maybe there is resilience and determination whilst not explicitly mentions in economic detail. The song definitely highlights the challenges and struggles of the nation
Not any reflection of Francesco's rendition. His arrangements are amazing and interprets his pieces with emotion. Not easy.
