This really is worth a visit. I did some work there years ago relaying the tiled floor. Every tile was numbered, and photographed and had to be relayed in exactly the same position and facing the correct way. I would spend my lunches just wondering through the church in awe of the history and architecture
When I was a medical student at Bart’s Hospital next door, one summer we watched, from the window of one of the nearby cardiology wards, them filming a wedding at St Bartholomew the Great. That ‘wedding’ subsequently turned out to be one of the weddings in the film “Four Weddings and a Funeral”. Of course, we didn’t know that at the time! 🙂
Such a fascinating website my friend. As a born and bred Londoner in Deptford, SE London there is so much I didnt know about this great Capital I have lived in for 59 years now. Thank you.
you just know that next year (if they didn't this year..?) they're going to have paranormal investigators there at 7 a.m. to see whether or not the ghost comes out!? lol 😆👍🏻🖤👏🏻 i wouldn't be surprised if it already happened lol
If possible, please have a live stream in July at 7am to record the interaction and possibly assist in helping this poor man retrieve and or investigate the whereabouts of his foots. Amen 🙏
Reminds me of an incident in my childhood. A Catholic we met indignantly refused to enter any C of E church, and my mother retorted, 'Why not? You built most of them!' I am not a church-goer, but I hope Henry VIII rots in hell for the suffering he brought about.

What demented foot fetish deviant stole a dead man’s foot?

Rahere was... I believe... a kings jester given a sum of money on his retirement he opened a hospital...
Bloke in a pub told me that.

Must be true then.
A man was found at the foot of rahere house many years ago he is still one of the only people in Britain who have never been identified

An old friend lived in Rahere House on the City Road in London. I always wondered (pre google) who Rahere was.

And I Bet my mother-in-law was there!
Il n'y a rien de mystérieux.
Catholic, can we have our Churches back?
Reminds me of an incident in my childhood. A Catholic we met indignantly refused to enter any C of E church, and my mother retorted, 'Why not? You built most of them!' I am not a church-goer, but I hope Henry VIII rots in hell for the suffering he brought about.
St Barts in Anglo Catholic.

There is no such thing as ghosts.
