Depending on your other mods you may see more or less gains from the throttle body spacer, again this is mainly used for adding things like NOS or a meth injection kit not just a performance mod on its own!
I'm glad you got it done without the nuts. I wonder if that engine has the same throttle body as my 2.0 L kia forte 4 cylinder engine as well... that space might fit it also. I hate that there's not a good market for these car's yet.
There is a good market for Kia's home country, South Korea has turbo kits for the 2.4 liter motor that makes over 400 hp, but I fear that these motors can't handle a lot of boost, they'll just grenade if pushed too hard. It would be great to find a shop in the US that would build, blueprint and make a mega horsepower 2.4 liter motor for Kia owners here in the states.
How did you seal the plugs in the two open ports. I tried using Teflon tape, and when trying to accelerate, you could push the pedal to the floor and barely go anywhere. In your video your ports are already plugged....
Cool, I'm thinking of doing this to my Forte Koup sx. I already did a cold air intake.. What did you useful your air vets in the car? Or did they come red?
I must have missed that one,, thanks.. What did you do as far a lowering springs? And how much did it bring it down? I don't wanna go too low... Just a cleaner stance..
Actually yes, I can tell the car accelerates faster off the line a little bit. It’s not major but added with sport mode and the throttle response controller I have, I can definitely tell the car is quicker.

Yeah I didn’t want to use nuts or washers I wanted to make sure I had the right size bolt. It just seems like it would be more sturdy that way to me.

What screws did you end up using ?

In my vents are just some accents I ordered from Amazon. I did a video a couple weeks back on putting them in, it’s very simple.

@@brianrandall3411 I was on D2 lowering springs, it brought the car down about an inch and a half.
you have the 2.4liter engine??
Yes, this is the 2.4L
I have 2013 kia optima ex . Its has 2.5 4 cylinder engine . Should I install the spacer? Would. it be bad for my engine?
did you cover both the holes ? on the spacer
Yes you need to plug the holes if you aren’t running an injection kit to the spacer. You don’t want air leaking out of there.
Fit on a 2019 Kia Forte lxs ? Or got a link for once?
How did you cover the holes on the spacer???
It comes with a little plug you can screw into the hole to plug it.
Do you need to buy an additional gasket?
It comes with a gasket.
what size screws do i need and where can i find them
Should have just picked up a couple of nuts to slide in the shaft of the bolt.
Have you notice any difference now that you have a cold air intake any power gain any difference I just ordered one!!
