How to reboot BMW's Operating System 7 - BMW How-To

Learn in this video what to do in the rare case of a problem with BMW's Operating System 7. It is possible to reboot the system. Make sure your BMW is in standby state. Just press and hold the volume button for about 30 seconds. Press the volume button once again to turn the system back on.

Heute bei Connecteddrive angerufen und da wurde mir gesagt…… nach den 30 Sekunden (Knopf drücken) aussteigen, Fahrzeug verriegeln, 15 Minuten warten und dann wieder einsteigen. Hier aber wird viel einfacher die Sache dargestellt.

0:22. Ich hab das bei mir gestern gemacht (auch OS 7), aber da war es nicht nötig, die Taste wieder zu drücken um das System neu zu starten. Da hat sich automatisch wieder eingeschaltet (und so wurde mir auch beim Kundenbetreuung von Connecteddrive gesagt).

Ufortuhately that did not fix it for me. I can't receive anything from the media. No TV channels, no radio no sound from Bluetooth either. It says "no source" when volume is turned up. I even reset the BMW system. My car has only done 6000 miles.

BMW you officialy destroyed the kidney grill. Good for you(i see that the chinese are more important then the loyal customers in Europe.)

I think they just adjusted the size of the kidney grilles so it can be proportionate to the car i.e. the 3, 5 and 7 series and the X3, X5 and X7. Besides, BMW has been doing kidney grilles for years now and they have fitted on various different sizes on various vehicles.
