Right, it’s literally a korean accent. I don’t know if he assumed it because of the “Relax” but it’s literally just the accent of a Korean person speaking English: If you ask a Korean speaker who’s not a native English speaker to pronounce ’relax” they will usually pronounce it “lee-lax”/“Lee-lex” (릴렉스)
the letter “L” and “R” are a bit harder for most Korean to grasp the pronunciation ( probably because of ㄹ they will just pronounce both L and R like in the korean pronunciation of ㄹ) hope this is helpful if he reads my comment, note though, that it’s better not to assume they’re making a certain accent 😅🥲

It definitely would have helped if you had watched the album trailer. It explains that it's six months after Guerrilla. ATEEZ are wanted men, so they split off into pairs. They hinted that Woosan were doing illegal street fights and showed Seonghwa and Yeosang trafficking chilli peppers--they're probably earning money to finance their op. Yunho and Jongho (everyone confuses them at first, but congrats you seemed to have figured it out) are posing as undercover cops, and it seems like Hongjoong and Mingi are the key players in this operation. I think Mingi started the shootout as a distraction so Hongjoong could shoot the special bullet that left a trail of destruction. Anyway, the MV isn't as confusing for those who saw the trailer because we were already familiar with the sets and member pairs plus we knew the backstory.
If you're having a hard time choosing who and what to react to--you might consider setting aside a day for reacting to each group (or two for SKZ). It might feel less overwhelming. Thanks for the reaction!

hongjoong has been a part of the production of several songs and mingi has said that he has started working on producing as well!
actually hongjoong is a part of their main producing team and he has his own songs (aurora/ rocky) and some of their b sides he also was one of the main producers for xikers the new group although mingi also writes his own rap verses in every ateez song

This song freaking slayed me. Possibly my favorite ATEEZ song tbh. But I agree the music video is just overwhelming on first watch. I'd recommend watching a live performance because the choreography is so much fun and San just absolutely kills it.
Also, pro tip for recognizing Yunho--he's the tallest! Him and Mingi really stand out as the two tall ones.

i saw many first timers react to ateez-bouncy mv and become super invested in them already. the production of this music video is amazing, like no matter who your favorite artist is, ateez has set the standard with bouncy mv production. Its packed with alot of stuff most definitely because they have a whole lore that they need to portray. and after only doing lil bit of research one can immediately catch on about what this whole music video is about !
To put it simply Ateez has created their own very interesting and very intertwined worlds with each of their albums. As you react to more Ateez content things will start to come together.

Yesss yunho jongho i thought same when i was baby atiny😂 😅. Well i also only know these 3 groups since 3 years and skz my first kpop attraction but after some months till now 2 years passed i realized my top ult type is ateez then bts then skz 😮, but my sister type is different so she likes bts on top then skz but she dont watch ateez yet😅and she is happy with 2 groups stan, so if any group attracts more by your mindset type it become your favorite 😅, even i was a big hater of ateez and bts when i dont know them only mad fan of skz😂😂😂 but sudden i saw their stuffs and got involved more n more😅.
That happens! I used to only listen to BigBang but they stopped making music. I tried to get into BTS even though I love their content I didn’t vibe with their songs. I really liked Kai solo albums but only liked a few Exo songs. I was almost ready to give up on K-pop. One day CZcams recommended Fireworks and I was hooked! I binge watched every mv and I couldn’t believe I’d never heard of ATEEZ before! I even seen the KQ Fellaz dance videos but didn’t know they were a group. I just thought they were a Korean dance group with hip-hop style. Took me a few months to realize that was actually ATEEZ 😂 After 2 yrs of hardcore stanning ATEEZ I’m no longer listening to BigBang. I still love BB but ATEEZ finally filled that void and are my new ults

I really like BTS older songs it’s just the newer stuff I don’t vibe with but Run BTS is still one of my favorite idol shows. I’ve been watching Wanteez and it’s so good! This was the first video I ever saw of theirs and I thought Mingi and Hongjoong were the same guy in different outfits for serval days.😂. I didn't even know their names at that point or any of their other songs. Bouncy was the beginning of my fall down the rabbit hole.
when i was still a baby atiny i also couldnt keep yunho and jongho apart but the way i eventually made it work is that Yunho is for one, a lot taller and his face is more longer shaped whereas Jongho is shorter and has a rounder face
I feel you on the MV. I'm someone who listens to Ateez more than watching their MVs. I like watching their live stuff because they are such good performers and dancers but I've never really followed the MVs so this was probably the first I fully sat down and concentrated on and at first I really wasn't sure. Towards the end I was like huh yeah okay I get it. Rewatching it I can now see the style and fun of it- but I know Ateez also has some in depth lore so if you follow that it's probably got lots of details and stuff. I feel like with kpop each group has both a distinctive sound and MV style so it can take a minute to adjust to some if they're not one you're super familiar with yet and Ateez definitely have their own strong, distinctive identity. This song though has definitely gone from- huh catchy chorus to- this is a vibe! for me (I feel like that happens a lot with me and Ateez songs, it needs a listen or two to sink in and then suddenly it's stuck in my head half the day and I'm really enjoying it). I think the stage performances will be great and I would love to see them do this at a concert with the full audience energy too.

Catching up on your Ateez content as they are my ult group, but came into the kpop world due to BTS and then Stray kids before discovering Ateez so i'll check out your reactions to them too 😊 Caught your comment at the start about the look of the set giving Archane vibes, Ateez are huge LoL fans and theres some rumours after they visited the Riot studio recently about them maybe doing the LoL world theme song, so we're all praying that manifests! 🙏
i feel like for me this was a really easy mv to understand (and i don’t pay attention to the storyline) kinda like the real (i don’t think you’ve watched the real yet) you don’t really need much background information since it’s very explicitly told but that could be because i watched the trailers in advance which explain how they’re hiding in groups of two. even if you don’t understand it i think it’s really easy to enjoy because it’s fun! just looks like a bunch of goofy movie concepts slapped together
Both Hongjoong and Mingi are producers and Hongjoong did participate in some of their bsides of their discography but he didn't in this album!
But both participate in the lyrics since debut in practically every song :)

Only way to get a good feel for the other groups is to react to/ watch them more.
Thanks for this reaction. Hopefully in the future people can let you know which side content to watch for better context. I'm thinking the cinematic prologues, intros, epilogues, and films are going to remain pretty standard for Ateez now since the last 3 CBs (and Inception, fireworks etc.) have had them.

This is one of their LEAST lore heavy MVs. It’s fast paced because it’s meant to be replayed but it doesn’t take long to understand what’s going on. If you need more info just watch the trailer.
@@loen1z Yes there are references, but I don't really think it's that lore heavy. The only real bits of lore come near the end of the mv. Like I don't follow lore all that much but the MV was pretty straight forward without knowing anything. Guerrilla and Halazia were far more lore heavy. Bouncy was definitely meant to be more fun I think.

If you're interested in getting into ateez' music in order i reccomend you listen to their first mini album since you watched Pirate King and Treasure. Honestly what I'd recommended you to do is to listen to their albums in order along with the mvs and if you want t dance practices, bcs they are amazing dancers. Then i think in between albums tou should watch a few of their videos that show their personality. If you dont knowhat videos you watch i reccomend watching their ateez logs that are on CZcams, you can get to know them more. You should also look into the stuf they're released on their channel, the ATEEZ channel. This is just a suggestion, i can probably help you get to know them more are you dive into their music.
