Ryan the process of getting a train ready to go is called building the train. It involves a lot of moving cars around to get the right ones hooked up. My great grandfather and grandfather were railroad men. My great grandfather died in a head on collision near Rock Springs, Wyoming. He was an engineer driving the train. Two trains were on the same track somehow. That was back in the late 1800s. My grandfather was a conductor and was responsible for building the trains. I have lived in Oregon for 67 years now. That oregone name on your video was a stab to the heart. It is orygun my friend. Thanks for the great videos.

I’d argue it isn’t better. He’s not getting into hypertrophy like that, so he’s kind of wasting his time for minimal results and he’s more likely to get injured rushing through exercises. If he were to go extremely heavy, with lower reps, then it would be worth it. As is, he’s not building muscle.
@Des420 it's definitely better, even if it has no impact on his goals, it keeps him in the mind frame if he misses one its an excuse to miss more. it keeps him motivated 🤙

I'm a general contractor/carpenter from the Texas panhandle, near Amarillo. We're rolling here. It gets colder here than other parts of state as we are on a Caprock and 3300 ft above sea level. Love watching you guys.

Just a little tip about mixing paint, for the same color each time you paint a machine. Measure the amount of each color and it will be more consistent.

he's referring to the good batch, as in when mixing propper white and proper black, measure and you will get the same colour between coats.@@Pbell

Ryan, you mentioned the HP of the locomotives. The two that were in this video are SD-40's and are 3000 HP each. The diesel motor powers a generator which supplies current to each axle (6 of them) and each axle has a 500 HP traction motor. These SD-40's were THEE best loco ever built. Built by EMD (ElectroMotive Division, owned by GM) Not very many left on the Class I's RR's anymore, such as the Union Pacific. I worked for the $OO Line/Canadian Pacific for 41 1/2 years, 35 of those as an engineer.
I grew up in a railroad home. My father and at one point every Uncle I have all worked for Union Pacific.

@@zsedor Obviously I didn't look that close but TY for pointing that out. The 60's were good motors too. Me personally, I didn't quite care for them as much as they didn't hold the rail like a 40 could but the dyno's were (at the time) far superior!

Fence contractor here from the Pacific Northwest in Washington state. Work is still available however the customers are more price conscious and are getting multiple quotes. Overall it seems slower than this time last year.

I do asphalt, but the company's concrete crew stays pretty busy. Almost a pour a day if not every other. My asphalt does about the same, depending on how long a haul it is. It's definitely slower than summer, but still pretty busy for us here in southeast Virginia. Love the videos, following for years, keep it up and stay safe guys.

Just a heads up, Gorilla glue is water activated so when using on a surface like wood that is porous you should wet the wood down first and the bond will be significantly stronger.

Here's some train info you may find interesting...Work up here for a class one rail in Canada through the mountains. We go through a tunnel that's almost 10 miles long through the mountains. We pull trains up to 14500' and over 20 000 tonnes. Most train units we use are 4400hp. A train pulling 22500 tonnes up hill at a grade of 2.5% needs a minimum of 4 running units. A total of 17 400hp. 2 on the head end. One in the middle and one on the tail end.
Also... the person you're talking to, isn't the conductor. You're talking to the engineer. They drive the trains. The conductor sits on the left side and is the eyes and ears for the engineer to direct him, especially while backing up and building the trains.

I'm a new construction plumbing contractor in Venice Florida. We were slammed a year ago but have noticed a slight slow down in the residential market but the commercial market is still going strong. We were doing multiple underground rough ins a week to now maybe 3 to 5 a month. Love watching ypur channel.

Hey Ryan that gorilla glue is a polyurethane glue. It is water-activated. it will foam up. you are supposed to put the glue on one part and water on the other.

I know i'm not a contractor but working for the RR has been all over the place, get weeks of non-stop work and other times the yard is empty and guys are sitting on the boards waiting to go out for a day or 2 between trips. RR is a big tell on the economy too when the economy is bad we usually got guys from other states chasing after work.. and the dreaded furloughs.. This year is scary usually see the economy tank during an election year the past 3 have been that way since I have worked for one.
Edit: Ironically I just saw you talked to them during the video. I commented before haha. That's also the Engineer, conductor & brakeman sits on the other side of the cab. From the looks thats a local road switcher who services industries along your area. Also those little engines they have don't have as much HP as the road engines.. Depends how many axles those engines have too.
