Currently in a ”many spinny resets and musties in the same shot” phase in freestyling and this video came at just the perfect time after watching all the other masterclass videos you have ❤
As a freestyler i really enjoyed this, when you’re practicing a mechanic you’ll find yourself doing the same as the director telling you to do, but sometimes the mechanic you’re trying to do won’t work cuz of a really small mistakes you may do, like you tilting your car a bit forward or not cancelling the jump faster, things the creator won’t tell you about, this video is different, every small mistake i was doing i learnt how to correct it and some of them i didn’t know they were mistakes even, turned out they are, and in all of a sudden i hit my first triple Jakze reset yasterday like it was a piece of cake, i really appreciate the content you’re making keep it up🙏🏻
Can we just take a moment to consider how good this tutorial is, rn I’m learning jakzes and this will help sooooo freaking much it just came at the right time
You make the best in-depth tutorials on advanced mechanics. Keep up the great work! Personally I have a hard time understanding the slingshot/thing2 as I don't get any power or proper flick, so a tutorial on that would be helpful.
Remember guys its all about muscle memory and consistency it doesnt matter how long it takes atleast you get to perfect it im a champ one i started yesterday and now i can do the jakze but i still cant get the flip i managed to get 2 clean jakze goais with no bounce i call that a success practice i completely skiped the begginer jakze and went for the second indermidiate but i do know how to do all 3 in the vid now i gotta learn my boys maktuf reset i cant go without learning it
this video is great. i cant get square deadzone but turning down my controller deadzone to 0 made it better. i can finally do the fancy resets i have seen maktuf t´do fo rmonths

I love you so fucking much dude. ❤ I picked up rocket league about two years ago after watching you and other ppl freestyle. Made it my life goal to learn all these crazy mechanics. Which would be virtually impossible without tutorials like this considering im 30 and don't have time to figure out all these inputs on my own. Your tutorials are among the best and have made learning this shit sooo much easier. Your a god send to the community. Appreciate you brother! I'm working on getting consistent double resets. @@Maktuf question. Recently decided to try square deadzone after watching your video. You mentioned doing another video going over all the extra settings you can mess with. Does it just take some getting used to or should I switch up sensitivity and controller deadzone? And are there any other super important settings i should be aware of?
@@moldy_burrito_ if you are trying to freestyle with square most ppl use 0.15-0.30 for their deadzone, the higher your sensitivity the faster your "off axis" flip cancels will move if that makes sense, i personally use .10 deadzone (square) with 1.75 sens for both but a lot of freestylers use 3.5-10 sense, also yeah it takes time to get used to

It seems alot if freestylers use it so I was just testing it out, cause id also like to be able toplay some ranked without having to switch back and.forth. or sacrificing movement of.some.sort. But say I use 0.25 controller deadzone and 2.00 sensitivity. What would I need to change in order for the change to square to feel as seemless as possible. Or do I just have to keep practicing with square and get used to the new deadzone?
@@moldy_burrito_ through which way did you activate square deadzone, ds4 or steam? Cause bumping up anti deadzone to like 0.20 helped for quicker flip cancels for me.
God looks very difficult, I can't even understand how I should to configure my gamepad to get s correct dead zones for cancels cause always i try this mechanic I got pulled off as like cancel wasn't executed, I'm wondering what's wrong with my settings or gamepad, there's s lot o things to setting up before try this o think. Can you make an in-depth guide on the jakze because I have been trying to get a SINGLE jakze reset and I just can't. Either I mess up the motion, or I do the motion right and the back of my car slams into the ball. Someone please help
I’m really struggling with the variation Jakze reset. I don’t understand how to keep doing a spinning motion and then tilting the car to get the reset. I’m also stuck on everything after that. Ahhhhhhhhh.
Man idk how you keep track of all these little micro adjustments. The big stuff is fine but it’s the micro stuff that really gets me. Maybe I’m too old lol
Its little by little Ur definetly not old hahah I just have tons of hours in much more basic muscle memory that then I just use naturally around these other harder adjustments

We love the 2 flits, but I like the maktuf flit more, it's not that I'm saying I don't like Jakze's flit, I also like Jakze's flit, but I have more opportunities to do the maktuf flit

Hey man, I peeped your sensitivity video and am having a ton of problem with placebo. I don't know how to make the controller feel right anymore :/ it's a real hindrance keeping me from enjoying my game. Feels like after 5k hours I'm hitting a wall due to it. How do I land right under the ball when I do a Jakze flip in the air? I feel like I always end up not close enough or too far away. Do I need to flip at a certain time in order to get the reset or maybe be at the same speed as the ball?
yo maktuf do you know any tips for keyboard? because is more difficult with airroll right/left, i mostly only use normal airroll but my brain cant handle it
lol u can definetly do the cancel and use free airroll but u cant really do the cancel movement in the other direction to make the flip flow a little more with other movements. You are really good with free airroll, but u definitely miss out on a higher skill ceiling with so much skill that u have D:

Yes the reason why controller players use square deadzone is to make it keyboard like to have the perfect 45 degree angle to cancel the flip but also spin so same as holding d and s or d and a etc at the same time

Maktuf tell me the secret of the freestyler here I don't understand when I do a fastflip kens, I still don't get a flick as smoothly as you do, maybe it depends on the controller, you can tell me maybe I need to change something in the steam settings, I just don't understand how you do it right now my main title is gc2

Its timing and also learning how to boost when you flip as its stops you a little

As long as u have a flip and u are close enough to the ground, but not grounded, you can wavedash in any direction
