Don McLean - Vincent (Guitar Instrumental Version played by Chris Hampton)

- Here is my instrumental version of the song "Vincent" which was originally written and recorded by Don McLean for his 1971 album "American Pie". The lyrics were inspired by a biography that McLean had read of the artist Vincent Van Gogh. It is often erroneously titled after its opening refrain, "Starry, Starry Night", a reference to Van Gogh's 1889 painting The Starry Night.
I played this using my Fender Stratocaster (Bridge Pickup) and the Zoom G2.1Nu with Echoes From The Past (EFTP Patch B0). Recording was via USB to my home PC with Cubase.
The backing track and arrangement were created by Pete Korving and the backing track is available for purchase via his website at www.guitarbacki...
I also used tablature written by guitarist Ger Sanders which helped me with how to play this.
