Those are one of the best Honda Accord ever. I been working on reviving my late uncle 1992 Honda Accord EX that been sitting for 2 and a half years. He just passed away a few nights ago and he had to stop driving it 2 years ago because he was very sick. The very last thing he said to me was i want you to have my old 1992 Honda Accord. So my aunt is giving it to me the best part is it's a 5 speed.
"My little Corvettefan..........I.......I want..... you....... to have my..... come closer son...... i want you to have my 92 honda accord " in all seriousness though rip to your uncle nice of him to leave you a reliable car to own. Take good care of it for him
Back in 2017 I had exactly the same piece as my first car! Unforgettable, most reliable car I have ever seen, absolutely loved it! Bought it for 300 CAD at the auction in Vancouver, with 250k km on odo. Did regular maintenance such as brakes, oils, radiator, power steering and went for a roadtrip across the US and succefully came back. Had made 40 thousand km till I sold it. Remember all the sounds of closing doors, beeping when key in ignition, sound of starting. OMG, this shit is so real! I literally dropped a tear watching this video :(
This is the most beautiful generation of Accord in my opinion. The 1998-02 (of which I have a 2001 EX) comes close, but is bigger, heavier, and rounder, I miss the 80's and early 90's when Japanese cars were lighter and more angular shaped.
IRONMANFAN2008 I’m honestly surprised! I’m reading a lot of good on them. I’m going my timing belt and a bunch of maintenance this weekend. I really love this car! At 204,000, hope I have a little while to go! I’m easy on my cars!
I absolutely love your Accord! Never did I ever think I would say it, but I'm a HUGE fan of the burgundy interior on this one. Great find and can't wait to see more on it! My mom used to have a '91 EX in a navy blue with the tan interior when I was little, so there's a little bit of sentimental value to these cars with me.
Thank you! And yeah I am too! I was a little meh about getting a car with the burgundy interior at first but it actually contrasts really well with the exterior color of this car!
frigofflayhey Yup, back then, they were really professional assembler and maintenance mechanics. Right now, some cars only 2013-2014 been having problems with the transmission. i do own 1997 honda accord lx and i used it until 2013. The car was so reliable. The car was almost 200k on it.
That's the first time I've ever heard a car called an observatory because of how much glass there was. Ironically my kindergarten teacher had a 1994 Honda Accord in this color I think. It was the 4 cylinder with the manual transmission. I saw her a few months ago, but she was driving a Toyota Sequoia V8 when I saw her. She probably gave the Accord to one of her kids, but it's a funny thing that this car reminded me of.
I love it! It just baffles me at how clean this one is! You are really lucky, and I'm glad this Accord has an owner that'll take care of it. Most people just don't understand how special these old Accords are! I cannot stand seeing these Accords either abused, or one's that have 21 inch wheels or some shit.
Its true! Even my non car people friends were kinda like 0___0 when I said the car was a blast to drive. Almost every other CB7 in my area is rusted out (when rust really isn't even a problem here) and just beat to death. I actually looked at a 93 LX that was $1000 and it was full of so much trash I found someone's stiletto shoes in the trunk and a court summons in the door pocket.
Jakeman21642 Lol, I think I had more fun in this than in my 08 si. I'm crying now. The car was with the family since I was born then passed down to me, 130k miles when I left it. Great visibility, great highway mpg, they don't make cars this good anymore. Same color as this, but original oem wing, original carpet too, etc blah.
I bought My 2012 Black Honda Accord Ex-L V6, 3.5 Liter, Navi, and backup Camera, with only 26,000 miles on it currently, Last October 2020. I've owned 8 Cars in my Life, and I can honestly say that this by far is the best car I've ever owned. Best Built Car I've ever owned hands down no questions asked. I also paid 10k in Cash for it and what a deal!
That thing is clean! I bought mine a few months ago with 206,248 miles on it it's the lx model 4 speed automatic transmission and I couldn't be happier with it! I paid $250.00 for it from the original owner love my car to death
My dad bought a 1993 Honda Accord for $2500 and that looks like identical to the one my dad bought. Its was built 8/92. Usually from June of 1992-August of 1993 is when every year model change from year to year. As of right now it's now called the next years model for some cars but I don't know why. It looks weird to me
I love seeing these cars in great shape. Look great, like new! I'm glad Honda moved the sunroof controls to the headliner. Makes a lot more sense there.
the EX models of the 1990-1993 Honda Accord CB7 originally came with a twin exhaust tip muffler and a twin Y pipe for more power. as these cars will go forever. as they are assembled in Marysville Ohio for the US models. here in the northeastern US these car's don't live long with rust from the road salts used in the winter months. typically rust from behind the rear wheels, undersides of the doors and rocker panels. the exhaust system the flex pipe breaks on it as Nickson has a flex pipe replacement uses a different flex with flanges a doughnut gasket and spring bolts which is much better. as i used to have a 92 accord.
Change the timing belt and it will live for ever....even if the seller says its been changed just get it done again for peace of mind. That's how I ended up losing this car.
Jakeman21642 I actually just barely changed it lol, she runs really well, it just needs a new exhaust, it’s pretty rusted out and it sounds like a ricer
I froze the frame when he was showing the Dealer window sticker. It said it had Moquette Upholstery. I Googled it. The word is French for carpet. It will outlast the car! I wish more manufacturers used it. It has a nice velvety feel to it and is durable.
One thing i love about cars like this is that you can get parts so easily, it's like the 2nd gen explorers, you can load a fleet vehicle with limited parts due to the fact parts are everywhere
Do you still have this car today as of 2020? the flex pipes always go bad on these as Nickson has this ball and socket flange replacement which replaces that as the EX the exhaust is tuned for more power a double pipe coming off the manifold tapers into a single pipe and the EX models of the sedan and coupe has a dual tip muffler as the wagon models both LX and EX have a single tip. as i got rid of my 92 before 911 needed suspension work plus the exhaust. then i realized how reliable these CB7 accords are they can go over a million miles as one did so in a 1990 accord. as these cars are assembled in Marysville Ohio in the US Market. as the 1990-1991 models had the passive restraint system with 2 motorized shoulder belts. the mid cycle refresh on the 1992-1993 models had a drivers side airbag, optional passenger side airbag on the 1993 models DX and LX models new wheel covers, EX new alloy wheels all models new rear tail lights and front grille. as by now this accord is now collectable if its $300 how much it will cost to restore one
I really like that so many materials are soft to the touch. That's something Honda's missing out on these days. I have a '15 Civic and only the front upper door panels and a bit of the dash are soft touch- wish the entire car was padded. Actually the 8th gen Civic had a decent amount of soft touch plastics. And the new Civic has an entirely soft touch dash and front upper door panels, but the rear doors are still hard to the touch. I was recently in a 2001 Accord and its material quality was excellent, just like yours is. Just wish Honda would go back to the golden days when quality was of utmost importance.
I have a 1993 Honda Accord as well, the same one in this video. She's 23 years old.. and knocking on wood, she works well. Is it weird that I named my car Gemstone?
Please let us know about its repair history. Is it still on the original engine and automatic transmission? What major repairs has it had in its history? Thanks.
I love mine, is in mint condition too, the only thing that bothers me is the constant vibration when on idle at D. All motor mounts replaced and vibration still.. Does yours vibrate too?
Joe wolfy007 Yup, back then the cars was so reliable. I used to own 97 accord and almost 200k mile on it... Right now some cara only 2013-2014 been having problems with the transmission and so me stuffs...
I was looking at getting a ragged out VW Bug and a guy at work says I got a 93 accord I'll just give to you......... needless to say I should have one this weekend. : )
That is the fastest opening sunroof I've ever seen and I like the plastic piece on top. Even my '03 Camry sunroof opens slower and I don't have the plastic piece on top. Why is most cars don't come with the plastic piece on top of the sunroof? That is an odd place to put the buttons on the left. I would look for the buttons in the ceiling near the sunroof. Also, that truck is huge just like my Camry. Some newer model Accords, the truck may be a little smaller.
It looks really cool! Seats look unused! :) To be honest, looks better than new Honda's, new ones look so empty (y'know?) nothing inside. Maybe it's just the burgundy interior fooling me. :p
hey what's up bro, your videos are great , I wanted to ask your opinion, I'm thinking about purchasing a 1993 honda accord it's not the ex it's the one without a sunroof, it has 133k miles , it's a automatic , the guy wants 2200 it's just as clean as yours , I could get it for 1600 $ is it worth it? and are these cars going to very hard to find in like 6 or 7 years, ? basically I'm trying to say is do you think there going to worth 10 k or 15k in like 6 years? I honestly think they will, would highly appreciate your opinion thanks
beautiful! I have the same car same color and I love it. it has 217.000 now and I fear the starter is going due to intermittent not starting etc... It is NOT in the condition of this one by any means , I bought off craigs a couple years ago, but I kick around in it!! Any insight on the intermittent starter issue? :) GO HONDA
I need to do some more study, but there's an offer for one for $1200. new tires, 138k miles. Good deal? I'm also in the partial northern va area, Winchester, va.
HAHAHAHA I died at "duhhhh hope da transmissions okay." Assuming the little beast spent a lot of time rockin on the freeway the D4 light probably just burned out. Same crap happened in the odyssey
I hear your irritation about the people that whine about the transmission! LOL I have a 93 honda accord SE that my grandfather bought brand new. Now 267,000 miles on the original transmission AND engine. You just gotta be diligent in keeping the fluids changed. Sure it shifts a little harsh but come on! That's a lot of original miles! Nice find on your accord though man. I'm a big OG cb7 fan I guess you could say. Just keep it original ya know. :)
I can't stand the sunroof control all the way over to the left either. Every time I hop in my car and go to open the sunroof I keep looking for it up where every other manufacturer puts it. I love the burgundy interior!
You have no idea how many times when I was rolling down i95 on my way home with this car I turned the cruise control off when I went to adjust the sunroof. I'm getting used to the control but its still annoying haha
Not bad at all for that price! It's a sweet looking ride as well! I'm looking to purchase my first car within the next 8-10 months so that's why I asked. Keep up the great work with the vids!
Jakeman21642 Here in California that is a fair price. Not to rain on your parade but being Automatic hurts re-sale a bit for the 'Tuner" market. Beautiful car at a good price point with all documentation. The Coupe in EX for 5 speed is the only thing better.
I had that same lanyard Until It snapped now I have a I love my honda lanyard. And nice car I had a 04 accord until this lady hit me and totaled it now I have a 98 civic ex
TheMiddleKingdom The car is gone. He had it for a few months but the timing belt snapped. Then he had a 2002 Civic which someone hit him in, then a 2003 Accord and now a 2012 Volvo S60.

I have a 92 with 300,000 miles to

Very nice! I haven't realized before now how nice these cars actually are. And this is a super clean one. Can't believe the miles!

I LOVE this car !!! I want one !
Seems like a pretty nice ride, the only think I ''dislike'' about it is the color and wheels. Other than that, I love these type of 90's sedans.

I didn't know the interior in these was that nice. But it's crazy that you have all that documentation on the car after so many years.

I am getting a 93 Accord EX on friday super stoked
I sat in one of these and believe it or not it's more room than new accords and I'm a pretty tall guy.
I love my 1994 accord wagon LX, it is also a 5 speed manual. Kinda rare for the wagon.
Make sure that ignition doesn’t wear out to the point where it’ll start with a spoon…
I had 1991 back in new york bought it with 63 k miles in 2003 and kept it till 2004 great car.

Yeah, the 2nd Gen models AKA the late 90s models.
I love your car!
I loved that car, but back in 2001 couldn't afforded. Enjoy what you have, thats a pretty good japanese car. I like the sound when fire up...unique.

I have a same one. It is a beast
I got two of these everyone loves my cars they’re brown outside and burgundy Inside .. really reliable
MKM230 and you, Jakeman. I remember both of you guys.
Pink exterior, shag red interior.
Yep, just the way I remember it when I was a kid.
I'm close to buying a similar CB7, but I want to know what to look for before I buy it, common problems, where rust is prone to occurring, etc.
Fun fact: I got a Honda ad before watching this.
nice car buddy!
Please let us know about its repair history. Is it still on the original engine and automatic transmission? What major repairs has it had in its history? Thanks.
Nice car
I love mine, is in mint condition too, the only thing that bothers me is the constant vibration when on idle at D. All motor mounts replaced and vibration still.. Does yours vibrate too?
Hope to find one like this or restore one to its original form

My 2nd favorite Gen of Accord. First place is the 7th Gen.
Beautiful clean car! Congrats and enjoy your car! You got it for a steal!
ive got a red 93 accord im the 3rd owner and same 210 km
I always find those BMW look-alikes, Because the rear door looked simmilar to the older BMW 5 series
hey what's up bro, your videos are great , I wanted to ask your opinion, I'm thinking about purchasing a 1993 honda accord it's not the ex it's the one without a sunroof, it has 133k miles , it's a automatic , the guy wants 2200 it's just as clean as yours , I could get it for 1600 $ is it worth it? and are these cars going to very hard to find in like 6 or 7 years, ? basically I'm trying to say is do you think there going to worth 10 k or 15k in like 6 years? I honestly think they will, would highly appreciate your opinion thanks
1971 beetle would not have a cup holder because they did not thought about it.
We have a 93 accord too. We're in Utah

Damn 20,050...My 2014 civic was 19,980. This accord with ex trim was pretty cheap back then.

How many does your Honda Accord EX have now ?
TheMiddleKingdom The car is gone. He had it for a few months but the timing belt snapped. Then he had a 2002 Civic which someone hit him in, then a 2003 Accord and now a 2012 Volvo S60.
How is this car in 2024?!
