CLIP DESCRIPTION:
Jerry (Casey Siemaszko) makes a run for it, but his car won't start, and security officer Duke (Mitch Pileggi) drags him to the office.
FILM DESCRIPTION:
The first feature film from director Phil Joanou (State of Grace), Three O' Clock High chronicles a high school nerd's much hyped after-school bout with the infamous class bully. When the impish Jerry Mitchell (Casey Siemaszko) is assigned to interview the new transfer student with a supposedly violent past, Buddy Revell (Richard Tyson), he makes the fatal mistake of touching his subject. Revell, who hates being touched, responds by challenging the unwilling Mitchell to a fight at three o'clock in the parking lot. Spanning the course of the school day, the film follows the disaster-bound Mitchell as he soils his good-boy image through various misguided attempts at averting the fight. Also making noteworthy appearances in the film are Jeffrey Tambor and Philip Baker Hall.

The golf cart cougar scream at 1:52 still makes me laugh to this day.
Everything about this movie is a classic...it's always been one of my favorites.
I laugh so hard at 2:25 when he chucks the note and it fly's off into the stratosphere.
troposphere not stratosphere.
@DECIMUS MAXIMUS Damn...that was back in the 80s though. 😶
Dumbass threw away evidence.
@DECIMUS MAXIMUS watched the worst of the 3 star wars films in theaters, Return of the Jedi, yuck. Think them ewoks got Leia sexually of her own free will but thank god for censors!
@DECIMUS MAXIMUS ah, darth maul became one of my favorite fictional characters behind Sherlock Holmes though. I have a good memory associated with attack of the clones of that of being paid after doing double over time & having my independence. Disney versions, eh.
Fun fact: The note is still making its away around the globe to this day.
2:16 Love how how the note blows away in the wind, taking all hope with it.
flew into a wormhole
@@kimmyfreak200 You mean a black hole? LMFAO
1:51 The security guard just damaged private property and committed assault.
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
*Some of the factors that sucks for Jerry Mitchell is* ❶ *Buddy Revell obviously know which car belong to Jerry & how to get into it.* ❷ *Weaver high school has locked gates with barb wires at the top just like a prison. My junior high school & my high school did not have locked gates far-less barb wires at the top.*
I love how the note flies off into the great unknown LOL
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This movie is better than Bueller's day off.
It’s up there
He could've been a good Peter Parker
I was thinking the same thing when first watching this scene !
@@visionaryknight2009 Yet could he made a great Spider-Man? Now,that's the question.
seriously
@Pleasure To Kill 🤣🤣👍
Oh, yessss
He sent the note into the Phantom Zone 😂
What's crazy is I'm 44 and used to watch this movie on vhs when I was young and haven't seen or thought about it since. Today, it literally popped up in my head, and I went to search for it. So random lol ..Love to see so many people enjoyed this film like I did.
It’s a great movie man lol I use to watch it all the time as a kid also
There’s those who remember it fondly and love it, then there’s those who haven’t seen it yet. One of the best comedies to come out of the ‘80s. The only one that may beat it for the title is Real Men.
I saw part of this movie on TV when I was really young and all I remembered was that Buddy was incredibly terrifying and that something felt very realistic about the school, even though I was only in elementary school at the time. Hard to explain. I never knew what the movie was called until recently when a scene popped up in my YT feed and then I was able to get the title. Now that I’ve watched in its entirety and with a fully formed brain, I really think it’s one of the best coming-of-age movies
The way that note flies when Skinner(The Duke) tosses it always cracks me up. The two shots are totally not in continuity but that's the point. It's just craziness.
The way he grabs the note, like he's going to put in his pocket, and flips it away...
Right! The Duker tosses the crumpled up note towards the ground. Suddenly it’s 10 feet up in the air and gets caught in an inexplicable wind current.
Inner city skools need security guards like him lol😂😂😂😂
...."You tell all your little friends that there's no escape from the Duker, you got that?"
Then Buddy punches him out later lol.
2:25 that papernote flying away is just genius, this movie is a Hidden Jewel
2:26 gone with the wind🤣🤣🤣
Glad someone timestamped it. That part never gets old 😂 thanks
The movies of the 1980's were really cool.
Hell yeah they were
Absolutely .
Yes indeed. Many under-appreciated classics like this. Check out another one called Real Men, also from ‘87.. John Ritter, James Belushi.. another quintessentially ‘80s classic!
That security guard goes above and beyond. A true patriot.
The security guard, is that the killer from Shocker? 😲😲
Horace Pinker in the flesh
That's what I thought. Lol
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
@@archieriverdale769 X-Files
Came here for the note in the wind. That and Mr. Delinsky's office decorations are perfect examples of 80's comedy film craft.
The sound effects of the gun, roar, yell gets me every single time
And Buddy’s subtle head nod in response to him saying “You boys must think I’m very stupid.”
1:00 Jerry Mitchell:"This Guy's Crazy!" Yeah, That's Stating The Obvious.😄😄😄😄
Walter Skinner was a security guard before he got a job with the FBI
"Why didn't you go to the office boooy?" 😆😆
One of my favorite lines from one of my favorite 80's movies! "There's no escape from the Duker"
Yeah they way he said it sounded so cool 😆
It's so weird to see Skinner from the X-Files call himself "the duker" 😅 I freaking love Mitch Pileggi
There is no escape from Horace Pinker!
Security guard is the Winchester’s grand father...
The note just blows away in the wind
Both Debut Actor in 1987 of Mitch Pileggi and Richard Tyson.
That gust of wind blowing the note away at the end always cracks me up.
The evidence that could of prevented is a lot of trouble
You tell all your little friends there's no escaping the Duker.
The note simply flew away because it didn't want to be on the receiving end of Buddy Revell wrath! 😂😂😂
it was Buddy's note, and he already stabbed it.
The growl when he runs and the guard tries to grab him always make me laugh
Lol the note took off in hurricane 5 winds lol
jajajajaja This Movie was the inspiration for the TV series Parker Lewis Can't Lose , with their crazy camera shoots !!!
2:25
Well that's the end of that note
LAWL its agent Skinner
smackedinthejaw. Horace Pinker.
That's assistant director Skinner to you, boy.
Lila Hamblin i knew it was him
Who else is here because they saw the thumbnail and thought "Hey it's Agent Skinner"?
I saw the TN and instantly clicked
im here because the note blew into my yard
@imaninternettroll1660 🤣🤣🤣
That piece of paper flew to heaven. 😂
0:30 Mr. Miyagi would be super pissed. He always said the best defense is “no be there”. No be there, don’t be there, don’t even go there!
Walter Skinner went from high school security guard to FBI Assistant Director in seven years. Amazing.
The power of hard work!
I love how buddy knew to disconnect the battery before stabbing through to the airbag
Man, Buddy's writing is so sweet ☺️
hahahahaha
"Be there, bro"
And hes still the victim after that
The sound of the wind when he through the note made me laugh 2:25
He reminds me of spiderman lol
If only we had security like this in schools today hahaha
Kurt Angle as Security Guard
Marco Lopez 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Nerd or not, I’d be livid if someone jacked my vehicle up like that
This movie seems so much more modern than other 80s teen films and holds up so much better
How he rams the other car.... lmao.
I wonder where that note is today. That is iconic movie history right there.
The downfall of Darby
LMAO
1:53 You can't scape from Pinker. He's going to "Shock" you boy 🤣
Best most Underrated 80s movie of all time.
Most people first saw Skin Man from the X Files here first- Mitch Peliggi.
The sound in this movie is just awesome.
LMAO ! TOP Flight Security Of The World !
@ll Savage Butcher ll they need security in the world Craig
Agent Skinner before his job at the FBI.
Jerry Mitchell a true Main Protagonist in this movie
And Supporting Antagonist in Stand by me
And supporting antagonist in Back To The Future 1 & 2 as one of Biff Tannen's goons.
@@TheSledgehammer2024 Yeah, i mean Casey Siemaszko
missed the best line... no one escapes the duker
there's no escape from the Duker
The guy that played the Duker got knocked upside his head by Buddy Revell (Richard Tyson) and Paul Kersey (Charles Bronson).
Horace Pinker was the Security guard 😂😂😂 what kinda highschool was this?
Off shocker🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
lol at the OTT way the wind blows the note away
The security gaurd was in the movie shocker
1:23 Dude's got a whole pack of Big League Chew in his mouth.
Literally every school security guard ever.
They always think they're a cop
But there’s only one Duker.
Kurt Angle before he made it as a wrestler.
🤣That freak wind that comes out of nowhere and blows his note away! Kills me!
I remember thinking that was bull from night court when i watched as a kid in the early 90s
Ah yes! The days before airbags in the steering wheel.
I like Casey Siemaszko. He was Back to the Future, Stand by me and Of Mice and Men
Don't forget YOUNG GUNS!
@@JSC178 "It ain't easy havin' pals."
It's you and ...I !!!!
yeah it's a shame his career never blew up properly
In case you didn't know that, the background music is by Tangerine Dream.
Classic 80’s movie!! Lol 😂
isn't the security guard the guy who played Shocker
Well that was pretty sporting of Buddy, giving you a free knife and all! Lol
The security Guard played Samuel on the Awesome show Supernatural! 😊👍
Skinner from X Files
Also Darby in Sons Of Anarchy.
LOLLLL he takes his job a lil too serious hahah
Looks like Assistant Director Skinner really moved up in the world after his job as a school security guard riding around in a golf cart...
Don't let a shit low paying job get you down, that security guard would go on to become the assistant director of the FBI.
Skinner!!!!
I was going to say he was there undercover with Mulder and Scully chasing some monster on the other side of the school but for all we know Buddy is one of those shapeshifting alien bounty hunters.
I'm 53 I will always remember this scene There Is No Escape the bell rings at 3:00😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
damn masterpiece of a movie
No one escapes from the duker
That security guard would have been a good Bill Paxton role
No. But it would have been hilarious if he played his role from The Terminator somewhere in this movie randomly. Maybe as the kid in the bathroom stall tapping his feet..
Love this movie
This is a funny scene 😆
At first I was thinking that knife just ruined the airbag, but then I remembered how old this movie was.
That note😂😂😂😂
Security Guard looks like a scrawny Kurt Angle
Buddy has nice penmanship.
the note took off in the wind because they were in a tunnel like architecture which is called a BREEZEWAY
18 years after the parking lot fight, their nephews Will Stronghold and Warren Peace had an amplified brawl at the school cafeteria in Sky High (2005)
His name is Mitch Pileggi
Pretty nice flat grind blade on that Rizzy!
Get in al take u over there. I said come with me🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Hey its Horace Pinker!
I guess Walter Skinner from the X-Files started as a highschool security guard.
visionaryknight2009 gotta start somewhere
The Duker.
Wonderful movie! 😊
And that's how A.D. Walter Skinner got started. Good times.
Mitchell is the BULLY! He broke bathroom etiquette. He touched Buddy inappropriately (after urinating and not washing) and when Buddy stood up to him to make it clear that he wouldn't take it anymore by trying to end the bullying with a straight up fight Mitchell then sends in his hired henchmen to assault Buddy once again. After that Mitchell tries to frame Buddy by planting a weapon in Buddy's locker. All Buddy wanted was to be left alone. In this case self defense was Buddy's only option.
That wiring is easy to fix: butt connectors and match colors
Buddy was so confident of victory he made one crucial mistake that would be his undoing, he dropped his brass knuckles, up to that point he had Mitchell right where he wanted him and may have won, what happened to Buddy after? My theory is he was expelled for destruction of school property (the library), fighting, carrying a weapon on school grounds, assaulting a security guard, and probably ended up in juvenile hall.
Looks to me like you were heading off campus😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
There is no escape. Dont make me destroy you....
He and the guy playing Buddy look like family.
