Interesting. This is the first railroad crossing I've seen to use a klaxon rathar than a bell.
UK is virtually all klaxons, with rare exceptions. 🇬🇧

Klaxon is a company who made those well known ‘aroogah’ old car horns/submarine dive horns however the word is also commonly used to describe an air horn or alarm in general. In the UK we use Yodalarms, an electronic alarm sounder.

Zu DDR Zeiten hatte WSSB tatsächlich international für andere Länder Bahnübergangsanlagen gebaut.
Außer dieser Version gibt es noch weitere, darunter auch in Rumänien teilweise.

i think it makes sense. iirc there was a lot of trading between COMECON countries on this matter. also if you remember at least one crossing here has WSSB type barriers...
as for the lights its interesting to see round ones were made for export for BG and RO. a lot of BG crossings that look like this have a light in the middle and a few with lights on both sides of the crossbuck. as for RO, i think we later switched to square light shells (idk how you call them) which are made domestically. not entirely sure when it happened tho.
I think some round shells were made by the Soviets, there's some very small lights that look like the one wssb
