I would really REALLY love to hear Alice do "Hard Hearted Alice" live! That is such a great rock song. I mean the progression and the changes are fantastic. It's criminal that the song has been ignored all these years.

That whole album is one of my favorites, so underrated.

I’ve always wanted him to do Woman Machine live. I could see that being done very theatrically.

"Hard Hearted Alice" is a terrific one. When it comes to rarities I really loved My God.

I agree too. I think I beat most of you on how many times listened to it. 😊 But apparently not one of Alice favourites...its to funky... he preferred moving towards more "jazzy" rock: "welcome to my..." which is also one of my favos. All the best 👍

50 years of touring for Kiss, 50+ for Alice. The audience wants the THE songs it has always heard and those bands deliver. Never tire of the old, but keep making new...that is what makes success.

That is exactly why so many people love to see ...Bob Dylan or The Dead or so many other "jam" bands, jazz artists or well rehearsed long form & prog rockers. To hear a classic retooled and reimagined. Shit if I want the record I'll play the record.

Until Alice (i.e. Vincent) and his band came along in the realm of musical performance, those defined as a "Front Man" (except for Frank Zappa of course) were merely "a Singer with gyrating hips holding a Microphone."
Alice Cooper took the concept of a FRONT MAN, and the concept of MUSIC PERFORMANCE to a WHOLE NEW LEVEL never seen by Humankind previously. Alice Cooper is the MOST LEGENDARY of ALL "FRONT MEN" in the history of Rock n' Roll, AND His Band Members: Glen Buxton - lead guitar, Michael Bruce - rhythm guitar, keyboards and backing vocals, Dennis Dunaway - bass and backing vocals, Neal Smith - drums and backing vocals, are NO exception.
Alice, and his Amazing Bands delighted audiences for decades by blending the arts of both Music and Horror Films into something NEW that Bach, Beethoven, Mozart, Stravinsky, Mary Shelley, Bram Stoker, Edgar Allan Poe, William Shakespeare, Aristotle, et al, could have NEVER imagined.
ANYONE who declares ALICE COOPER is NOT a FRONT MAN (not Paul Stanley.. but perhaps Dee Snider recently?), has NO FUCKING CLUE. Puh-Fucking-Pleeze!
ELECT ALICE COOPER for PRESIDENT of the U.S.A. NOW!

That's what I love about the Stones is they don't sound like they do on records. They play it in their live style, a little laid back.

Agree, Music should set you in overdrive mode. Than it is a good song! Kiss, i like this style, glam rock...And i just remembered a few days ago about Asylum album. And i remember Creatures of the night... And classic for me - Destroyer, love gun. And some with song Tears in heaven, i forget right now album. So yes, KISS has a lots of cool albums! I laso like a front cover with pyramids...hot in shade...if i remember right...And dynasty is excellent... and dressed to kill...

You mean "Tears are falling" ? It's on Asylum and it is indeed a great song.
There's also "Heaven's on Fire" off the previous album (Animalize), maybe you blended the two ? Either way, I agree Kiss have a great catalog. 😎👍
(And yes, the album with the Sphinx and pyramid on the cover is Hot in the Shade)

Yeah well Paul, the Kiss setlist list has been stale for over a decade now and the long-term fans who made you what you guys are today are bored! At least Alice switches it up, every tour he dusts off some forgotten gems, even a couple of deep cut classics.

  • @garcemac

Paul's right. I was Keef in a Rolling Stone's cover band for just over 25 years - and this "career" started before The Stones signed with Sony pre-Steel Wheels. That's how I bought a couple of houses in Toronto and put my kids through college. And I LOVED playing Satisfaction every night. Why? Because the girls get up on the dance floor. Someone busts their ass all week working to pay the bills and pay rent and put food on the table. They want to forget about all that and get home after the show and spend some time with the one they love.
That's what music does. No matter the genre. Its not about me. Its all for YOU. We play to make you happy. I'll (figuratively) masturbate in public as long as you go home with a smile on your face and your lady on your arm. Times have changed, it seems.
Would I play Satisfaction at home? Why not? But not before I scare the crap out of everyone by playing The Ballad of Dwight Frye (my favourite song for over 40 years).
