I’ve followed Kevin and others all my life I’ve kept up with Kevin vandam since he hit the tour and I could watch him on tv read in bass , then internet and articles online etc I had dreams of one day shaking this man’s hand or just fishing a day with him it hasn’t come true yet I’m still only 37 so plenty of time I hope to one day meet him and fish a day with him congrats on your success Kevin and mr skeet . I'd like to know what KVD's thoughts are on livescope and all forward facing sonar. I think that's the last couple of events that have watched have been snoozefest because they were filled with guys looking down at their screens and not casting until they saw the fish they wanted. I personally think that they should ban live scope from professional fishing tournaments because the winner is no longer the person with the most skill, experience, and willing to put in the work to figure out a pattern. Tournaments are now decided on who has the biggest and best electronics and how to interpret the signals on the screen. 😐
He's all about forward facing sonar. Anything to help to cash a check cause it's there job. Wouldn't you want the best tools to do your job?
@@paulwalleyefisher8983 I think he's good enough not to need it whereas some of these other younger fishermen would be totally lost without it.
His answer would depend on how much he gets paid for his words.
Its a different kind of skill... still requires high skill to do what they do. I have all the same tech they do on my boat and i dont just catch 100lbs in one day... promise that. Times are changing.... no one is forcing anyone to use this stuff... so quit complaining and go fish!

The levels of fishing they have nowadays is definitely crazy, but it’s for the good kinda, not nessecarily the high school part but the college series and the opens that have picked up way more locations making it easier for even the average angler to join I think there opening up the sport you dominated for so long sir! 👍 🙏 it’s for the better hopefully
