Line your (plugged) sink with aluminum foil. Lay your silver pieces in a single layer on the aluminum. Sprinkle generously with baking soda. Pour over boiling water to cover the pieces. All polished in a quick minute! In the 80's Robin Leach use to sell this "Flash Lightening" product on TV, but we old housewives had already been doing this for many years. No effort, no mess, nor elbow grease involved.🙂

Target has bowls and paddle attachments. Don’t sell. Even buying new attachments it’s a deal! The top attachment has tons of attachments. Peeler. Meat grinder. Pasta maker. So many things! I love your style.

I love to thrift shop and I love to watch peoples thrift hauls. So I really enjoyed this. I have a kitchen aid mixer and they came out with a beater that had a scraper attached and I picked it up at Meijers (giant grocery store if you don't have them in your area). It was KitchenAid packaging. So don't give up. They do have the attachments and mixing bowls that you can buy separately that are true kitchen aid products. My kitchen aid is 30 years old and still running.

Cheapest way to clean silver!- get 1.00 aluminum tray or line shallow pan w/ foil. Scatter couple tablespoons of baking soda, add silverware to tray & pour boiling water in tray. Let it sit. The chemical reaction cleans it beautifully! Rinse & dry. Totally tarnished items may need second soak. You can watch it come clean. I was spending $$$ on Tarnex & have been out. Watched a couple U-tube videos on this method. Works great!

I saw that little car at the thrift store, and thought, Oh! that would be perfect for your village! I started my collection before I had kids...they are now 24, 25, and 28...and they still love my collection...which is now on my 30 foot long built in mantle...it would be magical for your kids, and such a great memory for you to set it up, each Christmas, along with your girls... My houses are a mix of Walmart, mostly thrifted pieces, and a few Lemax Houses as gifts... how fun each October/November, to take your girls thrifting and for them to try and find new houses to add in!

I love the price you paid for your Kitchen Aid. I payed full price. You might check the company for accessories or Bed Bath and Beyond. It will be worth it if the mixer works. One idea is to also ask for a manuel or maybe online . I once got my bowl stuck and ended up putting some natural oil on base where bowl attaches and I literally had to sit on it to get bowl off but obviously don't recommend that lol. Goodluck!!!!
