Monica is being a brat. You don't go to someones house with the room full of children at a relgious function and start mouthing off to the hostess and YOUR MOTHER. Great example to set for your daughters

Angie should not have brought up the issue on Easter with a room full of children and guests. She is Greek she should know better
Monica’s mother was half right in trying to control the situation but she was also manipulating the situation to make her look good. They all behaved badly

If i spoke to my mum like that in a situation like this one. Her head would start spinning with anger, and i am a 39 year old woman.
There is a time and place to tell-off your child, not in front of other people! Monica felt her mother was in the wrong, but her mother felt Monica also wrong! It’s a tricky situation!
She wasnt telling off her daughter. She was trying to de-escalate the situation. They are guests at someones house with a room full of children. Monica is being disrespectful
The mother tried to get Monica to go to the bathroom with her to privately talk and Monica refused! WTF are y'all watching? The mom tried to get Monica away from the mess and Monica wanted to sit there and indulge in the nonsense, like a petulant child.

I didnt agree with this at the mid point but I do agree at the end. Also her mom did try to distract and/or deescalate the situation so I still side with her.
Your daughter throws a hissy fit, at a ripe age, you better shut her down especially when it's a family event. Monika is embarrassing, rude and lacks the decency of understanding where she is. Her mother is a grace of God, she was trying to tell monika to take this argument to another day and place especially if she is going to be loud and obnoxious
I agree that Monica was being too much, but her mom was smirking and choosing strangers over her own daughter. You could tell she was enjoying it just a little too much.

Which is why she tried to get Monica to go with her to the bathroom, for privacy, yet Monica refused, so that Monica's own fault. The mom tried to offer privacy, but Monica wanted camera time to keep throwing her hissy fit.
God Angie is so annoying, always looking for a problem. LIKE GIRL she came to you about a rumor instead of spreading it, she was giving you a heads-up and act up like she was spreading it around.

First of all I would NEVER speak to my mom like that. Not ever. In public or privately. HOWEVER, my mom would never scold me like that or not have my back in a situation like this either. If she had an issue she would wait till the car and talk to me about what happened.
I will never talk to my parents like that no matter what the situation is.

Youre all ignoring how much the mother was enjoying her daughter being upset. You people say she was trying to calm her down, all i saw was her smirking, telling monicas friends not to go over and comfort her but stay and have shots with her instead... Weird. And when you see someone is agitated you do not keep going at them as that only escalates the situation. I can't see how her mum and Angie who literally kept talking even after saying it wasn't the time didn't realise they were making things worse. She just tried to secure the next season that's why she was so extra , her mum was so respectful to other people's house , my Turkish mum would do the same . It's not scolding your children it's showing they are wrong. More mother should do the same . And also there are children around ...

Think that Monica is someone who has never been told no to by her parents. If she had she might have had a little more respect not only for her mother but also would never have behaved like that in front of her own children, way to teach them how to behave especially in someone elses home
If you watched the show you’d see that Monica said her mother was an ABSENTEE mother. Dropped her off at a friend of the family to go and chase her dreams in New York. So you’re right, her mother never told her no because SHE WASNT THERE. Monica has said multiple times that her mother was a terrible mother. Y’all think of the relationship you’ve had with your parents and think everyone has had the same. She has said multiple times her relationship was fucked up. Her mother even said she hated Monica’s guts. LOL
@@faythegmiller I'm sorry but where do you get off saying about what my life was like growing up, you know NOTHING about my childhood, if you did you would know where I come off.
I was mentally abused from I was 2 years old, had sexual abuse from I was 8 and physically abused by my first boyfriend for 5 years. Not one of my family knew or came to help me. Made to sleep on the couch or folding chair, cause the spare room was for my grandmothers boyfriend, the same one that was sexually abusing me.
But that didn't mean that I turned into someone like Monica. At some point in our lives we have to take our lives into our own hands and take responsibility for our own actions. I knew what would happen if I acted out so I didn't.
Eventually I met someone who showed me what true love is and what it's like to be loved without pain or abuse. I truly pray that for Monica, but you need to think before you go off on a tangent about someone's life without knowing THEIR circumstances.

@@faythegmiller one thing I don't do is ignore someone else's trauma. I try to help, especially since I have an idea of how this type of thing harms someone, I, myself have tried to commit suicide, but my husband found me in time and got me to hospital. I'm still undergoing therapy. What I am saying is that, no matter how badly we've been treated, we eventually have to take responsibility for any actions we take, and that is what Monica needs to do. Just like me, she can't keep blaming her childhood for her acting out now. And, NO, I'm NOT being hypocritical, just realistic.
Only people who suffer from mental illness, can truly help someone else who's suffering.
So, walk, or try to walk in my shoes before criticising me again.
