I just found one December 19'21 at a Village du Value ... I saw the portable box first and the colour dragged me over to lift the top and I was STUNNED to see the machine within. A real eyetreat. I ran a search when I got home, and, well... found this upload.
I looove this one. I have a 263, same color but straight stitch only… a gift from a friend. I made all my COVID masks on it. Bulletproof. I didn’t have the manual and had no
good video, thank you. Could you please make a slower and more detailed step by step video about setting the zig zag? I'm having trouble with this function on my machine and understanding how to set it differently.
That is a great machine to have gotten at no cost. A great way towards learning to use the machine would be to get a PDF copy of the manual. You can get it here for free: www.singer.com/search/support?lp=support&title=White%201563
I also own this exact machine. The motor is working well and it winds bobbins great. When trying to sew, it sews well for a few minutes, then it feels like there's a bog somewhere that makes the motor run hot, trying to sew. I've oiled it throughout using the manual "arrows", but am at a loss as to what to do now. Any suggestions? The hand wheel is very hard to turn when normal sewing. Thanks
I really appreciate your videos, Thank You. I have purchased the same model White 1563 in same color. I sought out a copy of the manual & paid $25 (plus shipping) for a poorly copied & incomplete manual. I wonder if it is possible to connect with the buyer & request, on my behalf, a good quality copy of the printed materials you received & show in this video? I had the machine professionally serviced & it's a great workhorse. I have only one cam which was inside the cam hatch when shipped. THX, spw Adding to my original comment: I just found what is advertised & photographed as an original White model 1563 manual. I have not yet received it, but I'm hopeful. I love this zig zag machine with the 1.3 motor & use it frequently. I have a Juki HZL DX7 for my stretch & delicate sewing, but this 1563 is like a plow & goes through multiple layers of nearly anything. Your videos have been so helpful & informative in assisting me in the path to familiarize myself with Vintage machines & also determining my needs in deciding to buy one. My sewing repairman loves that I have taken up this interest. I now have what I'd been wanting with the following four all metal vintage machines which satisfy my needs/interests (all made in Japan & all metal construction): _White 1563 Zig Zag (qty two, both w/1.3 motors, one with full set of cams & accessories) [FYI: this machine is a left positioned machine requiring needle to be Left position if using the pressure foot & straightstitch throatplate] _White 363 zig zag (w/1.3 motor) she was a grandmother's treasure. _Fleetwood De Luxe, straightstitch (shows 115 V) seems like a Singer 15 clone (but I'm not the expert) I am still working through servicing my most recently added machines & am mostly working w/one of my 1563 machines. With the proper needle, these machines go easily through anything denim/jeans, duck canvas, waterproof canvas & even ripstop lightweight waterproof fabric (using the straightstitch throatplate). With your videos & the 50 years of knowledge from my sewing machine technician, I now have figured it out when before I had no clue. Thank you for uploading your valuable information to those of us who treasure your sharing. I AM THRILLED w/your videos & that I can go back to remind myself of what you'd shared. Invaluable fir some of us, to be sure!! THX AGAIN.
I have a 6759 white in a cabinet i dont think it was used much i cleaned an oiled her up, she sews like a dream, where would be a good source for parts
When I plug my white in.. the needle is running full speed.... Is there a on off switch.??? Please help me!?!! I even had it serviced.. and sent back to me.. but they didn't say anything about this issue??? Could it be in the on position??
(Vintage White 1563 model) My service technician just replaced the pedal for me to this model which provides me with significantly better control of my stitching. This machine has separate plugs for the light & the machine. After plugging in, the light turns on at the front, above the threading area, & then the button pushes in. When plugged in, the machine is ALWAYS on, even of light is turned on. It must be unplugged to safely turn it off. Vintage, you know (LOL)
Hi. If you do a search at my channel under videos, you can search for the Singer 99 video I have made where I do discuss the differences. The only primary difference is in the width of the machine. It made for a somewhat lighter model so the 99 could in theory be "portable". I think its pretty heavy , but was in fact lighter than the 66. Other that this, they are essentially the same machine. Thanks for writing
New to your channel, and enjoy watching you demonstrate and discuss the machines. Which Craigslist do you post on? I cant find you. I would be interested in visiting your shop, if knew where you were. I want a machine for my singer treadle cabinet. Thank you How can you be contacted?
@@jeffkuhn2004 Thank you for the offer Jeff but we only procure machines in our local area given the high expense and risk of shipping. If you post it locally, you may find interested buyers. Those White models are powerful sewers!

I have a 1972 White 499. Pretty colors. Quiet. Heavy, ideal for biceps training and lower back pain
Thanks for this video! I just found this machine at a thrift shop and I'm cleaning it up right now. Looks like it's good to go!

my daughters has the model 2335 were trying to find the right belt for it. can you help?????

So should it automatically turn on when plugged in by pressing the pedal?
If the pedal and plug and motor work properly, yes, it should run when you push the pedal.
How can I find more info on this model? Can't seem to date it. Mine is a White 2335 serial #18910
I have the same machine and need the power supply repaired. Where are you located?
how much do these normally go for ? i have one just like it lol
Anywhere from $5 to $50 depending on condition and accessories. If it’s in a table, more.
I'm looking and wanting to buy a White 970 sewing machine. Do you have one for sale
Not currently no, but they do show up occasionally. Try searching Facebook Marketplace in your locale.

Put it on a power strip that you turn off , I have all my machines plugged in that way
