If you're new here, we're Tom and Iz, a couple who have been living in a van for the last few years. We've explored Spain, Portugal, Scotland, Ireland, Norway, Romania in our little home on wheels, La Bamba. If you missed any of these series you can check them out in our playlists. We most recently got back from a 10 week trip to Nepal (without the van), trekking in the Himalayas. We are now creating our UK WINTER VAN LIFE series and we would love you to join us! We usually upload on a Sunday at 5pm UK time. Our aim for this series is to get out there and explore areas of natural beauty in the UK that neither of us have been to before, getting outside in the elements and making the most of our British winter! We think winter is beautiful and we can't wait to explore a bit closer to home.

How about a road trip around Norfolk,Suffolk and Essex?
Thereâs so much to see and do in that area, you do indeed need a lot more time. When I did Robin Hoodâs Bay for instance (about 2 hours south of where you ended this one, I spent the entire day on the cliff walk above watching the sea lions, fossil hunting on the beach, and devouring fish and chips. Unless your clutch is 100%, donât risk driving down to the beach, you probably wonât get back up!!
Awesome views in this episode. Enjoyed your goofiness.
PS
Allegedly, icicles are the perfect murder weapons - in fiction. đđ§đđđđŽó §ó ąó ·ó Źó łó ż Personally, I prefer them in a G&T. đ
Peace
How is the coastal sewage situation? It is the only thing keeping me from another UK trip. At least you guys are staying away from tents and frostbite this time around.
A series, one vlog for every county đđ
Hey guys, I honestly believed that you couldn't have topped your last travel journey videos. However you have managed to turn a trip around Northumberland into a video that surpassed the experience of watching a sunrise over Everest! I think you don't realise just how good you are. The drone footage, the accompanying music (especially of Sycamore Gap) was mesmerising. Seriously, thank you, that was a great video. I still think you are both as mad as a box of frogs for the sea swimming! Stay safe you two. Thank you.
The videography and presenting just gets better each week. So well done.
greetings from California, awesome video !
A great production! Thank you for doing what you do for those of us who cannot. Brilliant!
The Tees, Wear and Tyne Valleys are all beautiful, as are the Yorkshire Dales and the Cheviot hills. Honestly guys, take your own advice, slow down - take your time, there's loads to see and do - the Northumberland coast is worth a week from Newcastle up to Berwick and still onwards into Eyemouth, Coldstream, Peebles etc
Really enjoyable video. I think Northumberland is a bit of a hidden gem that people bypass on their way to Scotland. Some great filming as well.
Despite living with a Northumbrian all through uni, when ever he talked about how great it was I always took it with a large pinch of salt, turns out he was telling the truth. Itâs an awesome spot
âYOU NEVER REGRET A SWIMâ, Philly & Keely đ
What a wonderful film of a brilliant part of the country. We have family in Northumberland and often manage to visit. Lindisfarne and Bamburgh are spectacular as you so clearly show. I didn't realise there was a Northumberland 250 even after all of our trips there! Brilliant stuff!!
Beautiful scenery. There was a great 70's band called Lindisfarne and they had a number of hits over the years. Notable tracks were "Run For Home" and "Fog on the Tyne". Take a listen, if you have never heard them. Just great, real music. Fab video, guys.đ
Welcome to Scotland đŽó §ó ąó łó Łó Žó ż you two beautiful people . đ
6:27 got some real Mary Beard vibes
Epic again. Thank you for sharing your adventures.
Great blog I love Northumberland .â€ïž
What a beautiful trip. Can't wait for next week. Stay safe guys đđźđȘ
Once again just beautiful, thank you.
Stunning trip, really enjoyed it đđźđȘ
Not sure if you know but those little "squigglys" in Ireland are actually WAW symbol for the Wild Atlantic Way .. love the vids ...
Lovely following the trip round Northumberland. The thing about Hadrianâs Wall is that it was designed/needed to keep the âRevoltingâ English Tribes in as much as keeping the Picts/Scots out! If you liked the Northumberland Coast element you should try a drive along the North Norfolk Coast from âHun-stonâ (Hunstanton) to Hays-bruh (Happisburgh) followed by a trip round The Broads, but a boat would be better than a Van! English written version in brackets! Lookout for the Easterly âLazy Windsâ, goes straight through you in stead of round, they have come from the Urals after all.
Well the English aka the anglo Saxons didnât arrive into Britain until about 500 AD. Kinda crazy that this wall has been here longer than the English! Would love to get down to Norfolk and explore down there, and by boat sounds extra cool.
@@LostInTransit Yes 'British' is the correct description of the Tribes in the Roman Times, but the shorthand of 'England' gives the Geographical description of their area of origin. They were inveterate 'Revolters' in one area or another during the whole Roman 'occupation'.
Quotes of the week:
Izzy - 'Ice-skating on the temple'
Tom - 'We are full of sausage' đđđđ
Guys, this was so good. Feels like you are both back in your groove.
Izzy is very good in promoting the sponsors product. Surfshark must be really pleased. Got a job in PR if all else fails. Normally the promo pieces are so bloody boring to watch.......not with Izzy.
Do you realise how much improved your videos are since you began van life? Seriously brilliant content and editing.
Guys, tour the isle of Skye.
Thanks J P, I think that might be more of an indication of how bad we were to start, hahaha.
Glad you enjoyed it!
And Izzy - "I can see myself one day living on an island..."
Great Britain - "Am I a joke to you?"
đđ
Still the best transit vlog out there. đ
April 30 2023: The six bridges scene is beautiful in the winter and at the end WOW! Isabele you are a very creative cook. I can only imagine in a home with huge applances. Thanks for VPN protection.
đźthe drone shots are particularly breathtaking đđđ
"Arse" skating around the temple?! đłđ€Łđ€Ł
Holy Island and Bamburgh are some of my favourite places đ„°
Beautiful film! â€đ đđđ
Great work Tom and Isy, keep 'am coming!
Great production guys.
Lol...ur such a goof, Isabelle. I say that in the kindest of ways and cheer in my heart. You have such a zest for life and you express it with such childlike abandon. I always chuckle at your antics, so thank you. Not forgetting you, Tom. I love your desire to truly feel life and to be present in it for every minute by continuing to challenge yourself by exposing yourself to wildly uncomfortable situation. I'm completely impressed with what you're doing in your current video (hiking from Northern Scotland to Southern England. You are an incredible couple, and I sincerely thank you for the effort you put into your spectacular videos.
My pet name for a long term ex girlfriend was loony (meant in the best possible way). You seem to have your own!, love ye both! Carry on making folks smile xx
Very interesting video guysđI was a teacher of history for 40 years but not working anymore. If I would be in classes now I definetely would show this video to students they could see that Roman wall!
Hi guys we live in Wallsend which is the end of Hadrians wall, funny ehđ, we spend alot of time in Northumberland which is just a gorgeous area. Glad you's enjoyed our local area.

Another great vid of a place I know well. The guy with a telescope in Kielder car park next to you is a good friend of mine, Jonathan, and was taking some astrophotos during your stay! Lovely star shots of yours too... Try the Forest of Bowland for another great location and also great for dark skies!
Very informative.

I'm from Northumberland and have been in the water during the winter.........it's bloody cold so respect for going in.
Loved your drone work. Brought a new perspective on places I know well.

Thanks for showing the area in a positive light. It really is a great place to live.
No need to worry about parking in Craster if we are around. (Ask Chesca n Ben).
Another great Vlog chaps. You put a lot of thought and effort into them and itâs much appreciated.
That looked fun and beautiful.
Your videos look like a movie. And music videos. Such serene feeling.
amazing editing again smashed it Tom
Norhumberland has so much to offer as does the rest of the UK. Perhaps you could visit each Shire and County, you could you know. Why the hurry though, do you have a timetable to stick to??? Please don't rush it, you may miss the best bits. take care, looking forward to the next vid. xxx
I wonder one year from now can you guys still keep up this level of enthusiasm?
Letâs find out, hahaha
Loved this! We live in Northumberland. Only place I think you missed out was the Cheviot Hills. The Cheviot is one of the biggest fells in England with some incredible views. Maybe next time! đ
Great video folks; nicely done đ
Hi Tom & Izzy ..thoroughly enjoyed your Northumberland trip, a favourite place of ours too. Noticed a real difference in the video production too Tom ..super editing this week, worked really well !

Hi Isabel and Tom
Loved your Northumberland trip, we go there a lot in the van as its not too far away. They do an amazing music festival at Lindisfarne at the end of August too. Hope you might pop into Coldingham and St Abbs on your way north, that's where I live, lots of history here and interesting places to visit.
Happy travels
Dianneâ€ïž
Looks amazing đđ
Your blog as refreshing as you dip đ
Wonderful video! What eye candy and you always make it so interesting with the historical facts, mixing the scenery up with some vlog style commentary, cooking food etc.
And as others have said, the cinematography, the way the shots are done and edited (with music aswell) makes it so great.
Very talented and look forward to your adventures to come! (Been following since Norway)
Great video guys. We would love to go to Lindisfarne some day when we retire which is not in the distant future. PS: Love how Tom wears the green-white-orange hat in bad weather. đâ

Ah yes Tom, I'd say you've sufficiently dispelled any illusions of you being a geek now, haha. Great video as always guys, really enjoyed this one. What a magical atmosphere you captured.
Great content as always Tom & Iz. đ your channel is growing nicely...We are full-time travellers from the UK as well, touring in our 4x4 expedition vehicle. Maybe we will see each other on the road someday. đ
