Cake ingredients:
3 cups sugar, 2 sticks butter( real butter), 6 jumbo eggs, 3 cups all purpose flour, 1/2 teaspoon salt, 1/2 teaspoon baking powder, 1/2 teaspoon baking soda, 1 cup whole buttermilk, 1 teaspoon vanilla flavoring, 1 teaspoon pure lemon flavoring
Lemon Icing ingredients:
3 cups confectioners sugar, 2 tablespoon melted butter, lemon juice ( start with a tablespoon, add more if needed)
Baking time 1 hour at 320 degrees Fahrenheit
Use a cake tester or tooth pick to make sure your cake is completely done.

Heyyyyy I'm back I made this cake it was fabulous. The only thing was my store only had low fat buttermilk so I tried that 😊 .. .. when I make this again I'll be sure to find whole buttermilk.. I'll try Walmart or Publix. Thx so much!

I have baked one cake from scratch over 30 yrs ago. One thing about it I love Sherbet and a cake would be GREAT! I know that cake is going to be g o o d. I love it when a daughter listens to her mother even when she's a tiny bit older.
