I had the honor of speaking with renowned and New York Times bestselling author Whitley Strieber. He began his career with two modern-Gothic horror novels, The Wolfen (1981) and The Hunger (1983), which was adapted into films by the late, great filmmaker Tony Scott.
He is perhaps best known for the third phase of his career, which began with Communion (1989), an autobiographical account of his experiences with strange alien "visitors" who, he says, came to his cabin in the New York countryside. This #1 New York Times nonfiction bestseller (on the list for 15 weeks) was also made into a film starring Christopher Walken.
Whitley has written several other thrillers and two novels about the environmental apocalypse, Nature's End and The Coming Global Superstorm. Superstorm served as the inspiration for Fox's The Day After Tomorrow (2004), and Strieber later wrote the novelization of that film.

In this episode we will discuss one of Whitley's most profound books, The Key: A True Encounter.
In the early morning of June 6, 1998, Whitley Streiber was awakened by someone knocking on his hotel room door. A man came in and everything he said changed his life.
This is the disturbing and ultimately illuminating account of what happened that night. Strieber was never really sure who this strange and knowing visitor was-a "master of wisdom"? A figure from another state of consciousness? A supernaturally intelligent being? He called him the Master of the Key. The only thing Strieber was sure of was that both the man and the encounter were real.
The Master of the Key's primary concern is to protect each of us from self-imprisonment. “Humanity is trapped,” the stranger says to Strieber. "I want to help you break the trap." In a wide-ranging exchange between Strieber and the stranger-which takes the form of a classic student-teacher dialogue of inner knowledge-the unknown man presents a lesson in human potential, esoteric psychology and the fate of man. He illuminates why humans are caught in a cycle of repeated violence and self-destruction-and the slim but very real possibility of liberation.
In its breadth and intimacy, The Key is on a par with contemporary metaphysical traditions such as A Course in Miracles or even the dialogues of modern wisdom teachers such as D.T. Suzuki and Carl Jung.

Es ist schwierig dem Durcheinander von M.Striebers Erzählungen zu Folgen. Mal sehen ob ich Morgen noch weiter Schaue........

Das Interview finde ich chaotisch. Wer ist der Schlüsselmann und was ist der Sinn hinter diesem Ganzen? Glaube hindert die Befreiung, Leute!, das wissen wir längst.
Glaube hindert gar nicht Befreiung sondern fanatismus
Wäre schön, wenn er beim Thema etwas geblieben wäre und etwas mehr über diesen mysteriösen Mann erzählt hätte.
Die Produkte können ja so hergestellt werden, dass man sie recyceln kann. Ich denke es ist wichtig Technik und Natur zum Guten zu verwenden. Nicht für Machtgier und Geld als Gott zu sehen.
Die Buddhistische Religion ist eine die ich sehr vernünftig finde. Sie ist sehr Alt und wunderschön..Muslimische finde ich zu streng.Das Christentum ist mir zu verlogen. Sprich Katholische Kirche
