From their early formation years from 1995-2002-2003 when Wes left to do his Solo stuff it was only 7 1/2 (almost 8 years) so they've been KILLIN' it ever since they reunited after the release of "Gold Cobra"
I think all the jokes over the years have humbled them quite a bit. I think they're just having fun now and soaking it up as much as they can. They seem aware that they could've easily faded away, and seem grateful to be so popular again.

I met WES once when my friends Horse the Band opened for Black Light Burns. I rode with them for four Florida shows, and after day three, Wes approached me after loading in and introduced himself. After every show, I watched him sign autographs and meet fans and didn't leave until the last person who wanted to shake hands left.
Wes got that cool uncle vibe going on but put him on stage with a guitar in his hands and he transforms into a planet eating fire breathing thunder shredding harbinger of the apocalypse!!! Can you dig it
