  • Today Rob shares one of his trainings with his beautiful and talented mare: Karma Begijnhoeve. He explains what a typical training with Karma looks like. And because he will show Fetiny in the Grand Prix next sunday he gives a little insight in his training with her too. He is preparing for the test and ofcourse shows the good and the 'to be improved parts'. What do you think, is it helpful if we show you a training every once in a while? Please do leave your answer in the comments. Enjoy and see you next video 😍

    What an exciting mare is Karma. When I ride the diagonal flying changes and my horse gets quicker I ride fewer but only to B or E and he learns to wait for the side of the arena to arrive, if that makes sense, then I only ride the full length only once before the test.

    You were saying with the first younger mare in your warmup about riding her deeper for her. Would you be able to explain this in further detail what frame works with what type of horse. I am a gelding girl but both mares could change my mind. 😍

    Do you give any hormones to your competition mares to stop the heat so that they behave better?

      @@Begijnhoeve_official so it means you're very lucky to have such lovely mares;-)normally mares don't cooperate that well in dressage;-)I do prefer stallions.

    • @Begijnhoeve_official
      @Begijnhoeve_official  Před 3 lety +3

      Well ofcourse they have their homones periods but we also have stallions they have also sometimes problems with the focus hahah I think it’s important that you as rider know how to handle it 😎
