How To Make Wavy Blob Rug Without Any Special Equipment - DIY Not Tufted Shag Rug

- I really like all those aesthetic wavy rugs I often see on internet. So I have decided to make my own, with my own design and in my own way - without tufting gun. But with a hot glue gun :)
It looks fantastic, it is pretty durable and well secured, so don't worry - it can be vacuumed!
All you need to make it:
a piece of any old fabric (pattern doesn't matter - it will not be seen)
hot glue
acrylic yarn (I prefer acrylic because no animal should be harmed for art and craft). My yarn for this project is 100 g 300 m
and the most important - straight flat objects like a ruler. But I took a palette knife because it was thinner. The height of rug's threads depends on the width of this object. If you want fuzzier rug - use a ruler. Want a flat weaves - use a popsicle stick.

wow this is amazing, easy to do but definitely time consuming. but i'd put on some music or a movie and take my time with it.
You are right. But the process is so peaceful. I was making it and thinking of some philosophical things... Don't know how to say, but it is a really relaxing process.

Can you wash this, walk on this without the yarn falling off?
Absolutely! It is really well secured. I made a mistake while making it (wrong color) and it took me a great amount of strengs to pull threads off. You can vacuum it, or wet vacuum. But not sure about washing machine... On the other hand - why not.

@@IdunnGoddessOfficial for a lot of reasons... First of all: isn't durable. Second: impossible to clean it. For sure, no vacuum clean and no washing machine.
