"first you get a new computer--" bruh im--only have 1 pc :(
Get a USB and install a free version of ubuntu
skateboardingkat
Well, the OP said they had one PC. But if you want to know how to do it without a PC, use one at your local library or you could use whatever device your using to type this comment; just get an adapter of your power port to usb.
skateboardingkat
I don’t think you tried at all...
I literally tried the adapter thing now when I read your comment and I know I’ve downloaded a iso from a library
skateboardingkat
Then use diskpart when you boot into safe mode and use cmd. Pretty sure you don’t need and adapter for that.
Start thinking outside the box
skateboardingkat
Do you not know what any of that is? Do your own research before you decide to have an opinion on a topic you don’t know.

recheck your drive path. you can try d:\ instead
When I try bootrec /rebuildbcd it pops up two windows installation and I put y on both but it says “the system cannot find the patch specified”
No matter what I do it says “File not found - C:\boot\bcd”
@@IIIytlll I have the same error as you. In my case the C drive is a 100MB "System Reserved" partition (that used to be hidden) with just a Temp folder. Windows was somehow moved to drive D from C. So these instructions don't work for me.
This command found my Windows installation on D
bootrec /scanos
This command is meant to find my Windows then allow me to restore it:
bootrec /rebuildbcd
That finds Windows on D:\Windows, then asks if I want to add it to the boot list. Answering yes results in this error: The requested system device cannot be found.
Rather than waste another hour or two on this I will be reinstalling.
This is the second time a major Windows update has triggered this issue for me, but I don't have that much software to reinstall (about 12 apps that I keep on an external drive now) so it only takes about an hour to do that. I wish I could figure out some quicker solution though.
Derek Read I used to always get this problem it would annoy me because it took hours to reinstall windows and the latest windows version, today I surprised my self I tried a few commands and i actually came out successful idk what commands worked but if you do come to this problem it won’t hurt spending 10mins on these command prompt commands
@@kitoburito Thanks. I spent an afternoon on this trying to resurrect it and ended up wiping the system and starting from scratch (again). The current MS installer is not as slow as it used to be. I've been through this before too so would have been nice to not have to do it again this time.
Unrelated, but I decided to also rebuild the machine at the same time with a PCIe SATA card for my new 1TB SSD and now things are running much faster on this 2013 box as well. Probably worth it in the end this time to get everything cleanly installed.

bcdedit /export c:/bcdbackup
The store export operation has failed
The requested system device cannot be found
Can somebody tell me how to fix it?
[Solved] I received error messages "access denied" for the "bootrec /fixboot" command and "path not found" for the "attrib c:\boot\bcd -h -r -s" command and "bcdedit /export c:\bcdbackup" command. I found a tutorial (doesn't seem I can link to it from here) that basically says run "bootrec
ebuildbcd" first and add the windows installation to the boot list. THEN run "attrib c:\boot\bcd -h -r -s", and THEN run "bootrec
ebuildbcd" AGAIN and add the windows install to the boot list and restart the computer. I never had to use "bootrec /fixboot", and the "bcdedit /export c:\bcdbackup" is simply used to backup the file (which didn't exist for me), it is not required. Background: All my problems started after using Macrium Reflect v8 to clone drives (from HDD to SSD) on two separate computers and different brands of brand new SSDs. After the "clone", my desktop would not boot, even the source drive would not boot. Luckily on my laptop, the source drive still worked, so I was able to begin fixing things from there.

When i write the last line it says to me repairs critical disk structures etc and i have 4 option 1:fixmbr 2:fixboot 3:scanos 4: rebuildbcd, which one to choose and what to add?
THIS WORKED FOR ME.
Rebuild BCD
For this solution we are going to rebuild the BCD “Boot Configuration Data” To rebuild the BCD follow these steps
Insert the Windows 10 Recovery Media and turn your machine on and boot to the usb drive
You might need to go in to your BIOS and change the boot order putting the USB device as 1st boot device
1. On the first screen select your required language and keyboard layout and click next.
2. On the next screen click on Repair your computer, Do not click on install now.
3. On the choose an option screen click on troubleshoot
4. On the troubleshoot screen click on advanced options
5. On the advanced options screen click on Command Prompt
0xc00000e boot bcd
6. In the command prompt window enter the command
bootrec /rebuildbcd
7. You will be prompted “Add installation to the boot list?” enter Y and hit enter
bootrec command
You should see “The operation completed successfully” if all went well.
8. Reboot your machine
You didn't say what to press after you got to the -h -r -s section. (path not found)
the right way to repair this:
if your pc was working before but now has this error, go ahead and start the windows install procedure. It'll say windows needs to restart to continue and to remove the USB or DVD with windows 10 on it. Do that, and next time you restart it should boot back to your original windows install, essentially repairing itself until next time your PC is shutdown
Bro thanks, please can you explain more details
The thing is it doesnt ;/
total identified windows instalations =0 :(
