My mother-in-law used to have quite the fear of visiting the opticians and these videos have massively helped her to almost overcome an irrational fear. As a guy with a papilledema in both eyes following a stroke a few years ago, there were a few times during the Peripheral Vision Red Ball test where I was like, "....uh, did he bring it into view, or...?" I have blind spots scattered throughout my fields of vision in each eye. I'm glad I have two eyes, though. They compensate for one another.
Just for the smell tests, I love it when you say the smell afterwards- I find it fun to guess! Don’t know if anyone else is the same but another great video nevertheless :) you’re my favourite asmrtist 👍

Please make longer videos! Your videos are great, I'd say you are among my top 3 ASMRtists, but they always seem to end too early to help me fall asleep. Something in the 25-35min range is ideal.
That transition between the small red ball to the big red ball was so smooth I didn't even notice the swap, and had to re-watch it several times to make sure I was crazy about its size changing 😂
The man has to be an Optician, there is no way any lay man could know that much about eye tests 😅 Either way, I love the channel. Its my new favourite. ❤
Ur at the top of the asmr game ngl but some parts felt a little fast/rushed as a viewer, could do with some more time esp on the colour tests. I appreciate that it’s not super slow and it feels authentic, but even if that was a real exam I’d feel it was a bit fast at points. Keep up the work tho champ. Also more full length exams like this are boss, 20-30 mins is the sweet spot imo 👌🏻
Great video, but Damn I just found out I've got a blind spot in my peripheral where things disappear completely. They don't get fuzzy or anything, but absolutely disappear. Wonder if my astigmatism causes this distortion in my peripheral vision. Other than this corrective lenses make everything clear. Definitely intriguing.
To explain it better it's like like you drew a picture then folded it twice so the picture overlaps causing you to miss the small sliver that was folded under in the middle. Like a "Z" fold that is only in the middle of the paper.
This is kinda fantastic (in a rather less than stellar way) the reason I never noticed it before is it's just *right* where the peripheral vision in my other eye begins so it made up for this blindness without me ever knowing.

If you are looking for Ideas for new videos, I got one for you. You kind of remind me of Julian Bashir, the doctor from Star Trek DS9, so you could very likely be able to pull off a great roleplay as him in the medbay doing a futuristic medical exam. He didn't have a beard in the show, but the actor does have one nowadays so I don't think you'd need to shave yours off for a roleplay, especially if you have it in a time period after the show.

what does it mean?
Probably not a lot when a camera records it. Usually I’d use the red and green when refining a prescription.
The camera just picks up certain things better, doesn't mean you've got a change in vision necessarily :)
