I've stopped playing the piano for many years now. Just today, I heard from a neighbour that they miss listening to my playing. This piece is the perfect inspiration to get me back to the piano.
Thank you for sharing this, music really does spread joy to many around us :)
My neighbors hate me for playing 😂
Nadine Wong why you stopped?
Liam McGreehan same
@@foxfoster1 it's because I have to play songs over and over to practice them and they get sick of the songs and then get annoyed
@@LiamMcGreehan Easy fix - just get a digital piano with weighted keys, and a head-phone for practising. You can play the real thing on traditional acoustic piano later.
it's 6:30 am and i just got up to check my bread dough. home smells good and i'm listening to this. day started perfect.
Who asked lol
@@nttie5092 well, nobody. but seems like i had better day than you, my angry and petty friend.
@@sarapiazza7529 im like 500 years late but loved this reply lol. hope you wake up to many more mornings like that :)
I just love the way she touches the piano and interprets the piece, and that’s not only talent, that’s years and years of hard work that brought to us such a wonderful style!
Love from Italy ❤️
Yes.
The other day I had some thoughts after I watched this video. At first I thought I cant stand genius's and talented people. Then I realized that I like them and admire them but I cant stand that I am not one. Then I went one step further and I thought. I just need to figure out what it is in this world that I was put here to do. This woman right here definitely found hers. I will keep looking around for mine.
Don't compare yourself to others, compare with your former self and try to improve. Talent/skill/beauty/.. is not evenly distributed. Easier said than done of course, and ego can be a great motivator, but be mindful that comparing with others can easily lead to unnecessary unpleasant feelings.
Very deep thinking. Keep searching!
Currently I'm learning to play this piece, and I really love the speed of your playing. Many of the renditions by other pianists for me is too fast and passionate, on the contrary your playing is so tender and gentle but with love and affection. Imo, that's what exactly Schumann intended to express to his wife. I will take this as my blueprint (literally my goal) of my practice. Thanks Ms Tiffany 😊
Have you learnt it yet?
@@sebastianciarfella3061 I literally forget I commented 😂 anyway yes I did learn it but now I focus on other pieces
Maybe return to this one day
Have you returned yet
One of my favourite pieces played by one of my favourite pianists..sending love from Italy
Absolutely lovely. That piano is made for your elegant playing.
Absolutely yes, Cindy, I agree. Fits her perfectly.
Which is why she bought it!
(Well technically, it's a loan but whatever)
You're one of the people who inspires me to play the piano. I'm just starting. It's really difficult I admit but seeing you play just keeps me going. I know it'll take years to become like you but that won't stop me. Thank you for the inspiration 😭❤️❤️❤️
Spoiler: you won't be ever as good as Tiffany. Believe me, there is a big difference between playing the piano well and the way Tiffany is playing
Arthur Catch that negative comment is not needed.
Back in your box.
Arthur Catch Every artist is different and entitled to his/her own way to interpret the music. Maybe be a little bit more encouraging? ;)
+Arthur Catch - you are probably correct. Most people won't play as well technically as Tiffany. Talent is not about the time you spend at the piano. Its something in your heart. Some people are indeed blessed in this way. However, ultimately it doesn't matter +Fire Lotus because music is not about being the "best". It isn't about attaining perfection - what is perfection anyway? Its great that you find her an inspiration. I do too! And that can be a great, positive thing. When it stops being so is when you compare yourself to others in a negative way, i.e. "I'll never be as good...." and stop enjoying the music you make. Its about enjoying the moment when you're in it. No need to compare. No need for negativity. Keep playing....and keep enojying. I wish you all the best
@@waterfordogs2226 I understand what you mean and didn't take his opinion offensively because I can somehow relate this to painting. I have my own style and so does other people. :) But still thank youuu ♥️♥️♥️
The best interpretation of this piece.
*and I almost cried*
... Thanks, Ms. Tiffany.
Beautiful tone, phrasing and voice leading. That's the poetic approach to Schumann ("für den, der heimlich lauschet") which is essential for his music . Excellent performance!
Beautiful Tiffany! This was my vote for your encore at the Gilmore recital. Love your tempo and your singing tone!
Mine too!! We're finally getting our chosen Gilmore recital encore!! Well played, and worth the wait!!
Exquisite, sensitive rendition with wonderful little "surprises" in voicing I haven't heard before. Thank you for sharing.
Wow. This Widmung is a real song to a soul in your hands. No singer i have ever listened can do that.
Not too fast and not too harsh but this rendition just melts the heart. Love the ebb and flow you've put into this piece as it just glows and loved every second of it!!!
I sang this piece years ago for my grade 8 and it's gorgeous to perform. Her playing sounds like an aria it's just beautiful. Makes me want to singggggg!
Played like the love song that this is. Absolutely beautiful.
This piece "Widmung" makes me tear up. Beautiful. Thank you Schumann. And a HUGE thank you to you too Tiffany. Beautifully played.
Never heard it played that slowly. Good on you for doing it "your" way!
She is not playing the piano. She is TALKING with the piano
What did she say? I couldn't hear her because the piano kept talking 😿
The piano is talking through her
A most beautiful, mellow and balanced tone....the melody in the tenor register sings like a cello....against rippling arpeggios in the treble
Pure joy listening to you.. 😍
Goosebumps all over and I teared up. That was absolutely stunning, Tiffany!
Incredibly touching performance. I watched this three times in a row. I’ll watch it again from now.
Tiffany enchants us again with her performance 😍
You really have a gift for bringing out the best music from the piano, Tiffany! I really hope you create a CD album again. I'm not a professional music critic, but I've been playing piano for a while and I've heard many many superb performances over the years, so I hope my opinion counts for something...this is really top notch performance!
This has long been one of my favorite Schumann lieder, both for music and text. You breathed out its soul through your fingers and heart. Thank you! As always, your phrasing and pianestration is examplary.
I really like this piece and it’s the most beautiful playing I’ve ever heard. I felt lots of love from her playing.
Oh, how I adore you and your playing! I can't believe you did this in one take. And how I adore Schumann, ahh! This video is pure gold. Thank you. Can't wait to come to one of your concerts this year again ❤
Beautiful interpretation of this exquisite piece of music. Bravo !
Can’t stop playing it - simply lost for words!
Tiffany... Your touch is so full of emotions. The melody came out so well! Your playing is very inspiring for me as an aspiring pianist.
Absolutely beautiful. That sent shivers down my spine listening to it.
Just beautiful. You add joy and warmth to the world with your playing. Thank you.
What a beautiful piece! Such a simple melody, yet it holds so much power. It was so lovely I started to cry! Thank you, Tiffany for your wonderful performance.
This touches my heart. I cry while listening to it
Stunning. Your playing shows your complete dedication to the instrument. You understand the pieces and the instrument at such a deep level. I am SO impressed.
Easily the best interpretation of this piece! Bravo, Tiffany! You inspire us all! 🤗
I listened to this piece quite a lot and actually started learning it. But I am still as mesmerised by its beauty and the impressive way its played by Tiffany as I was a year ago 😃
Absolutely sublime. Thank you.
Amazing keep up the great work, been watching for 4 years your the reason I started piano and the reason my parents got me the Casio px-160 thank you never stop!
Tiffany your hands flow so effortlessly across the keys, and I
feel so incredibly inspired by your selections. Thanks for sharing your awesome talent with your viewer's.
Everything about this piece is beautiful. It was written beautifully and played it beautifully. 💞🎼🎶🎵
Thank you for this amazing piece of art. I really appreciate your personal style and your touch, I know the struggle of searching a good quality and a right touch to create a beautiful and round sound. Well, you are doing an amazing work and I hope that maybe one day I will be satisfied with my playing and with my own interpretation as I am when I listen to your breathless music...but I know that this is a long journey and maybe a lifetime is not even enough. So thank you, for inspire me to always keep striving Tiffany, you are really making a difference in my life even if you don't know it.
WOW ! ! ! That was GREAT ! You are so talented , you have a great future in music . Thanks for putting in all the effort to make this video
superb playing here. there's something incredibly expressive that you captured in the first half of the piece (before it goes full liszt).
この曲は最も好きな曲のひとつなので聞けてよかったです!すばらしい演奏でした!
Great playing, the dynamic control was superb.
Wow! So amazing! Thank you! I could listen to this a hundred times. Again, you remind me why I love music so much!

One of my new favorites!! Thank You Tiffany! Much Love.
This is the best piece what I have heard so far.
Love from Finland!! 💕💕
After a stressful day, listening to Classical music takes all the pain away. 🎹♥️ Daily dose of musical love 🥰
Absolutely beautiful Tiffany! A french horn player here... But! A new subscriber nonetheless. I hope all is well!
Your playing is such a joy to listen to! This is so beautiful, your playing always gives me tears, sooo pretty Tiffany😭❤️
so so so beautiful - absolutely love your Schumann interpretations :)
Truly excellent! Beautiful mellow sound on this one.
Wow... wow... played with such feeling, sensitivity and empathy! It touched me...
Just ❤️ this piece, so beautifully performed. Thanks Tiffany! Love the sound of the piano too!!🌺💐💐
I usually find Steinways to be unpleasantly bright, but NOT this one. Your playing is epically beautiful & full of passion.
Very sensitively done!
You did a very good job of conveying the fact that this is actually a transcription of a vocal work.
I actually sang this song many years ago. I also have the piano music for the Liszt transcription. Your performance has inspired me to find that transcription and learn it.
Very universal music and play. Gentle and piano-friendly way. No abnormalities. No concern to listen. I love that.
I'm actually playing this piece for my level 10 cm testing next year and your playing is so inspiring and beautiful!! your variations, tones, and dynamics speak a story. I hope that once I start learning and practicing dynamics, I could sound as elegant as this
Was it difficult? I’m level 8 but I still want to play it :)
Beautiful, Tiffany! So heartfelt and clean. Love your sound!
It's such a gentle and lovely piece that it calms down a trouble. How good!
Wow! I love classical music! And I especially love your way of presenting to us the awesome beauty of classical music. This presentation makes my heart melt in ecstasy... so beautiful! Thank you for sharing your gifts with us, Tiffany! ❤
This is one of the most beautiful performances of this score I’ve ever listened because it is well-controlled, not as much brilliant as others always do. I can hear the original song very well. I will listened to this video so many times that it might be the model for my practicing. (Now I’m practicing this score. )
Marvellous Tiffany, thank you. Look forward to the next vlog!
Thanks for the recording, I love watching you play.
I'm in something of a low point in my life right now and this music is just right for how I feel. Many thanks for posting; your playing matches the poetry in this music.
I didn't know that song until the day you played it during a vlog. And I just fell in love with her. Tiffany you inspire me to be better every day. I am grateful to have known your channel. Thanks.
This is what a “good recording” sounds like! Super well played, I am sure the chosen piano was very happy!
Halfway listening to the piece, well, I closed my eyes and teared up.
My eyes well up with tears when I watch and hear you play Widmung.
Beautifully played! Thankyou so much!
This is one of my favorite songs... Thanks for the beautiful performance, Tiffany!
I love the tonality of that Steinway. It's so sublime.
i dont know but watching you pressing those keys and seeing you feeling the music also makes me feel the music.

Beautifully played beyond words.
I wish i could hear this performance on spotify. Superb playing.
The dance of your hands on the piano produces music of great beauty.
Beautiful! 🎶
Such a beautiful performance on a fantastic piano! Thanks for sharing!
Brilliant!!! My tear cant help falling😭
Such a tender melody. This is the best version I have found on CZcams.
Such a beautifully interpreted & played piece....it was very moving. The feeling it conveyed was more akin to a prayer than merely a piece. Simply heavenly! Thanks for adding much enjoyment to my Saturday night. And congratulations on the amazing first take! Also, eagerly looking forward to next time and getting the scoop as to why you were in the B room. A little mystery is always fun!
Just Brilliant ! ! Tiffany you are awesome ! ! Graceful, Elegant, and Smooth.
That's why I love piano. Thanks Tiffany!!

OMG. 好唯美的一首歌,好有畫面感。
Thank you 💖 Its really amazing
😍❤️I was waiting for it
Beautiful, Tiffany! I love your tenderness and sensitivity. Many people tend to be too forceful when it comes to the melody in this piece, but I love how you play it so sensitively and tenderly. I mean, this is a love song. It should be tender. Beautiful playing! Thank you for posting this video!
Brilliant interpretation and performance-magic! Thank you for sharing.
