When Hunnycook sent me a set of these butter knives so I could take a look, I have to admit, I was a little skeptical of how well they’d work. Now, I’m a believer!
We’ve all had the experience of trying to spread cold butter on toast. You end up tearing the toast and have unmeltable clumps all over.
What I love about this knife is that it gives me 3 different ways to make cold butter more spreadable, with the big curler, the small curler, and the serrated edge. And as a side benefit it can also make butter more beautiful.
I pulled this stick of butter straight from the refrigerator, so its HARD. But check out what happens when I pull the big curler across it’s surface. You get curls that are perfect for spreading and beautiful for serving.
The small curler makes cold butter even more spreadable. These curls are tiny, which allows them to soften quickly. This piece of toast is barely warm but because these curls are so tiny they soften almost instantly and spread evenly.
Last you have the serrated knife. This functions just as a usual butter knife, but I feel like the shape makes it easier to slice thinly.
The knives are very high quality, with a nice heft and a comfortable handle. And the finish is beautiful and reflective.
I really like these knives and hope you like them too.
