The wording of some of the questions make it tricky to know how to answer. The petitioner can't have an international number! I'm the American petitioner, but I'm living in Colombia with my husband while waiting for his Visa, so I don't have an American 10 numeral phone number. Where we will live when we get to America is not the same as mailing address. The it asks if I'm going to "immigrate" with my spouse or go to America at a later date. Well technically I'm not in America, so I would be going back to America, not Immigrating to America. Be careful if you have to write down many past address because you have under 20 minutes before it closes and you lose everything you were typing, and it's best to hit "save" as you finish each page just in case something happens, the website has closed out of nowhere and I've had to start over, so save save save as you go.

Hi Brit am happy for you lad... When I was applying for the Dv 2025,my newly married wife lied to me she had the basic high school education, and we both did application separately.. Later I realised she didn't complete high school and does not even have a certificate of the same😭😭😭, now in case either one is selected, can this make us get disqualified for both cases??

I'm a winner of the 2024/ 2025 DV lottery and have done all my documentations of myself, wife and 1 child. We got Married in February 2024 after i have already submitted my DV 2024 application in 2023. Sooner DV results were out in May 2024 by wife gave birth on the same date results were published on the 4th of May 2024 and i was Selected. I was happy and went through many channels to learn how to fill the ds 260 form. This channel would have been the best for me but already submitted yesterday on the 15th of July 2024 before coming across your channel. Thank you for this information. I made a mistake in my husband's date of birth, instead of 27, I said 21 in the entrants. And 27 is what is on his birthday certificate. Another mistake is my baby middle name is not spelled out on the birth certificate, but I spelled it out in the entrantry. Can I correct that in the Ds260 form? Please reply to this question.

You have talked about address in your this video, so my question quite related on this. If I don't lie on my current address and put in my ds-260 form and chose to take my interview in different location for example my current address is Addis Ababa and I selected to take my interview in Kuala Lumpur do they automatically transfer my interview location to my current address Addis Ababa or they would consider my designated interview location Kuala Lumpur? In opposite, I lied my current address Addis Ababa and put my ds-260 form a Kuala Lumpur address and went there and didn't add this travel into my ds-260 because I have submitted my ds-260 before my trip in Kuala Lumpur do they ask me why I don't put this last trip in my ds-260 form? or they may ask what type of visa I came in Malaysia maybe I came on medical visa, tourism or student visa. Now that I am selected, my name and my child appear in the system. However, I'm not planning to bring my child with me as she is under my ex's custody, do I need to fill out the form for her? I asked kcc to re enable my form to edit it, because I understood that I need to change some information,including the hosting in America. Hi when filling the D260 form and you have a customary wedding but no certificate do you indicate married with the date for customary wedding and is it okay to have a civil wedding before interview
Laws about customary marriages vary by country. If you claim to be married when you are not in a legally recognized marriage, it can cause disqualification. So - depending on the laws in your country, you might need to get legally married - but have some risk if you said you were married in the entry.
What if someone made a mistake in the area of education level during the entry form like for example in stead of some college courses you end up putting university degree. Will this affect me in my interview?

People say that it is even better than letting them do that, bcs apparently they do not do that at all, so you think it will be done, but in fact it delayes the case more than issuing it by yourself when in USA...so that is how formal winners these days claim....

Well congratulations! There is no harm to completing another DS260 now for the DV2024 win. If the 2023 case becomes current - you would just process on that.

Assuming the child was born fter the entry, then no problem. If however the child was already born and not included on the entry you will be disqualified

I'm no shilling them but there is a German company I've used twice and paid for their service to submit my application on my behalf. On both occasions I've been selected - high case numbers but selected. Australia is very expensive now and I'd do a lot of research about it based on your situation. Not deterring you but the golden era of high wages and low-medium cost of living is sadly over. There is also a serious housing crisis here. Inflation is high and the Reserve bank of Australia are doing very little about it. Even the USA Fed is more aware of curbing US inflation. Heaps of houses available in the USA.
Good for you, oceana region Australia, New Zeeland and fiji have the highst chances for wining in the entire world . Believe me.australia is way way better than 3rd world countries

No. It would just mean that if she won, she would not be able to meet the education requirement.

Hi when filling the D260 form and you have a customary wedding but no certificate do you indicate married with the date for customary wedding and is it okay to have a civil wedding before interview
Laws about customary marriages vary by country. If you claim to be married when you are not in a legally recognized marriage, it can cause disqualification. So - depending on the laws in your country, you might need to get legally married - but have some risk if you said you were married in the entry.

will mistake in birth city during the entry hamper the case? I wrote name of the municipality where I was born but later came to know, we have to write whats written on passport. In ds260, i have corrected it
Your birth cert is what lists your birthplace - so make sure you match that.

People say that it is even better than letting them do that, bcs apparently they do not do that at all, so you think it will be done, but in fact it delayes the case more than issuing it by yourself when in USA...so that is how formal winners these days claim....

There is no harm to completing another DS260 now for the DV2024 win. If the 2023 case becomes current - you would just process on that.

The chance of selection is 1 in 100 - so not being picked after 3 tries is not a big surprise.
I'm no shilling them but there is a German company I've used twice and paid for their service to submit my application on my behalf. On both occasions I've been selected - high case numbers but selected. Australia is very expensive now and I'd do a lot of research about it based on your situation. Not deterring you but the golden era of high wages and low-medium cost of living is sadly over. There is also a serious housing crisis here. Inflation is high and the Reserve bank of Australia are doing very little about it. Even the USA Fed is more aware of curbing US inflation. Heaps of houses available in the USA.
