You got a good one there 👍 I can tell by the back of it that the woods ring orientation is right, its an 'open book matched' center seamed body. It sounds great, and will probably play, perform and record better than most any other guitar. It is ahamed that many of them ( as well as other runs, brands) will have the woods ring orientation wrong, resulting in a smaller, less resonant and dynamic sound.
I need a mash up of this guitar, the Super Stock SC-1, and the new Gus G San Dimas...and the Charvel DK22 :) I love the vintage white relic, reverse headstock and Duncan JB/Dimarzio Area pickups of this guitar, although the Wolfgang/Lil Screamin' Demon combo in the Super Stock is interesting. And the candy apple red finish, reverse tilt-back headstock (no string trees), and non-locking two-point trem of the Gus G San Dimas. That said...the Charvel Pro Mod DK22 is very cool indeed. I love the baked maple neck, 2pt trem, 22 frets, satin finish, and reversed bridge pickup slant. I just wish the finish was satin CAR, the headstock was reverse and tilted back like Gus G's, it had a JB Jr in the bridge vs hot rails, and Dimarzio Areas or HS-3s vs the Duncan singles. Put in the good word, Damon :) Enjoy all your playing and demos.
Got back into playing because it of the pandemic. Been on like a 6-7 year hiatus. Before i stopped I was always wanting a charvel pro mod or a evh special. I got a SoCal before Eddie passed and I absolutely love it!!!!! How do you know the guys at charvel just discovered this channel

Set up an auto search on Reverb - I recently got a notification that one was available and I immediately snatched it up. Can’t wait to see it for myself!
Speaking of reverse headstocks, would love to see a demo of either the Fender (MIJ) or Squier, Super-Sonics. Maybe both! It's been a while since the Pawn Shop Series demo. 😁 (2nd try 😅)

With the Floyd being top mount, it’s flush on the body so it’s dive only right?
It's not flush to the body. It still floats and you can pull the bar up almost a note or so.

how much this Neck differs from a San Dimas or Socal MIM?
Hi there. It is very similar indeed. Slightly deeper than a standard Strat, with jumbo frets.
I’d buy one of these in a second if it had stainless frets and a German Floyd.
