It takes certain people to drive themselves hard in strength and conditioning training. Hard physical training and the mental strength to make them productive is a TALENT.
I filled up watching the last few seconds of this vid...fair play to the winner it takes years and years of practice to get to this glory moment in life-love his style
"talent gifted with" ??? WTF r u talking about !!!!!!!!!! It's just a lot of work he practice probably 3 times per day !! u gotta do soo much work to get on his level!!! This guy is insane !!! Only practices made him an olympuc champion !!!
The Choi who participated in the 2009 IPTV is not video of Choi. The video Choi beats Dimitri Dragin. In the minute 1:23 appears in the video as Choi beats Dragin.
Neither is wrestling....If you trained with any good wrestlers you'd know that. My sensei has 20 years wrestling experience and it helps the Judo game tremendously. We also have many students that are wrestlers train at our dojo in the off season and it helps their game tremendously. He won a gold medal in 2008 and got an Ippon against every opponent at the world level. They were all very skilled, so obviously he doesn't have "strength alone."
@111rashid the strenght, tactic, shape, experience he can get trough training but the technique is something you are either born with, or you will never truely have it.
@df469 of course your born with or without talent! choi is a natural, you still have too work but you don't get to this level without talent, believe me!
@111rashid yea. according to choi min ho, he used to practice/spar until he couldn't move his body anymore. so after practice his teammates carried him to the camp.
It bugs me sometimes what refs count as in ippon. I was always taught that ippon is "throwing uke primarily onto the back, with force, speed and control." A lot of these throws show great speed and force, but the goal seems to be more to slam uke's forehead onto the mat, then push him over onto his back. Not a huge fan, personally.
wrestling isnt either... im a wrestler and if u think plain strength dominates wrestling uve been watching too much WWE.... wrestling is all tactics and technics...
This guy is a strength abuser. He's just not good enough that's why he trains a lot on strength. His technique is wrong but because he is too strong it becomes irresistible.
The best judo compilation i have ever seen.Good job !
Greetings from Croatia
He Is Got Talent(low) + Exertion, Exertion, Exertion(Unbelievable) + Strong Will(High+++)
MIn Ho, you look handsome in this momment

It is true that his skill is not so delicate, but he went over his shortcomings, as you said. Anyway, bravo Mr Choi
having studied both judo and wrestling, i have to completely agree with you
That te guruma at the finals in Beijing is legendary.
Well isn't that a talent he was gifted with?
最後のシーン感動的だ
the last scene is very touching.
damn choi is a beast....
he lost a bit of form in the Japanese open just after the Olympics but he is still the fucking man at -60 kg
good job!)
very nice!
bonito gesto de Ludwig Paischer al abrazarle al final del combate :)

nicee!
What puzzles me is when you say strength a "talent".
I can fight back your response above but I accidentally discarded it so nvm.
@df469 of course your born with or without talent! choi is a natural, you still have too work but you don't get to this level without talent, believe me!
@111rashid i agree its all practice, 6 to 8 hours a day.
wicked game - HIM

He trains hard. No need to fabricate that.
韓国選手では一番好きだ
Whats the name of the song ??
I'd rather he join wrestling. Judo is not a sport where you own with merely dominating strength.
Whats the name of the throw where Choi is turning 360 degrees when he goes fore morote? 360 seoinage? 1:48
the adidas judogui is very cool ...
someone knows where i can find one ??
just seoi, except the opponent comes off the wrong side. really effective technique

lol ya right.
Whatever man. There is no talking to some people.
Dramatic..
wrestling isnt either... im a wrestler and if u think plain strength dominates wrestling uve been watching too much WWE.... wrestling is all tactics and technics...
for sure, choi is great but these news rules are nonesense and under the new rules he wouldnt have got his gold. bullshit
i don't like bgm..honsetly.
