- The man whose court hearing where a judge found out he was driving during the hearing while his license was suspended held a press conference with his attorney to set the record straight.
Turns out he never had a license to begin with.
Yes so when he was caught for not having a license at all, the secretary of state listed his driving privileges in the state as suspended. Which prevents him from getting a license until he takes care of his court cases, which he also failed to do. Now his new attorney is making a fuss claiming he never did anything illegal (of course ignoring the fact that he continued to drive without having a license many times...which BTW is illegal). Yeah he is getting railroaded by the public...but unfortunately when you do dumb stuff in public sometimes people notice.
His lawyer probably feels like a fool now since she told everyone he's a "law-abiding citizen" (see 0:57). Day later, she recants and says that "My client should've handled his business".
He's sitting around telling lie after lie to every reporter he can.😠

What's funny is that she told everyone that he was "law-abiding" knowing that he hasn't paid his child support in a long time. This has now caught up to her and she will always be known as that lawyer who likes to lie - her reputation forever ruined. That said, I'm not surprised given that she graduated from Cooley Law School, which is the worst law school in the U.S. You also spelled "behalf" wrong.

correct, suspension of licence should be for driving offences. I appreciate everyone wants to do something about deadbeat dad's but this actually makes the situation worse. Let's say he has his licence suspended for non-child support payment which means he can't get to work which means he cant pay his rent which means he might become homeless which means his ex has no chance of getting child support. His current wife and kids are now homeless and no income coming in and now you the tax payers have to pickup the bill. The term snowball effect has never ringed so true
I don't agree. Respectfuly. He needs to take care of his children and sometimes the only way you can get, men or women, to take it seriously is to do something that will get their attention. He contributed to the making of them and you don't just walk away and not help support them. His license being suspended is just a way to have him man up and do so. That's just my opinion.
They do it so people will pay their child support. It is effective because they know people want to drive. This also helps prevent single parents having to rely on state benefits for support when both parents should be supporting their children, not just one.

@@garethwilliams6860 yes, there was a mistake made but it was still stupid of him to show up to court while driving when he knows that there is documentation of him being suspended, whether it was inaccurate or not. Also, he found out since October 2023 that everything was not corrected and his license is still being shown as suspended, so he should've went and got things corrected as soon as poosible or at least have his attorney show documentation in court that proves it was a mistake and explain to the judge the issue. I don't feel sorry for this man. There were so many things he could've done not to make himself look stupid on that zoom.

WRONG, he was ELIGIBLE to get a driver's license since 2022, but he failed to pay the fees to lift the suspension and go to the DMV to get a license which he never had one in his life. Then he claimed he didn't get a license because he has been "laid up", yet the judge pointed out that he went to the DMV last December to get his state ID renewed. He couldn't go to the DMV to get a license, but he can go to the DMV to get an ID?

First: anyone that is harassing this man should face charges. No matter what he did, he doesn't deserve vile treatment.
BUT: the lawyer is saying the equivalent of 'don't believe your lying eyes'. It is pretty clear what he was doing when calling into the courtroom. That can't be argued away, since the judge saw the video and the dude admitted he was driving on camera.
And no one is going to convince me this guy put even a smidge of thought into what he was doing until he realized he'd messed up right in the judges face.
What makes you think people are harassing him? Because he told you so? He also said he had a licence. His lawyer (who graduated from the worst law school in the world: Cooley Law School) told the world that he was a "law-abiding citizen" yesterday even though she knew that he didn't pay court-ordered child support. This pair deserves each other and will live with the reputations they've made for themselves.

He is not a Law-abiding-Citizen. In fact he doesn't care about the law at all!
Even if you give him the excuse that the courts find file paperwork the first time and that's what caused the first offense. He knew that he was in court that day for his license still being suspended.

I guarantee you that she saw the video and took his case for free to get her name out there. His last attorney was a public defender so he doesn't have the money to hire an attorney.
Don't be rude. You gotta start somewhere. You gotta work your way up and she's clearly doing that. She most likely took the opportunity to use this man's situation as a way to build herself up by taking his case to the media. She put herself out there as an attorney for future business. So who knows, maybe in 3 years she'll be rocking a $400 Louis Vuitton leather blouse that way out of your budget. You never know😏.
