@@adrianbello901, Bible means book; however, it is many authors inspired by Yahweh and so hard to rate to other books.
The Quran has ancient language at the top of chapters (Surah) which declare the intent of the Surah and often that intent implies wickedness.
The Bhagavad Gita by comparison is likely preserving a religious system which was wiped off the region of India through writing. Shiva severes off his genitals upon seeing Himself in human form (his generations were cut off the Earth) and his wife rides a bull desiring blood sacrifice (the church needs the blood of Christ Jesus to wipe away their sins) and the bull is holy and thus must not be sacrificed. We really don't want the Persian people of Elam to come back and do holocaust in India and so forbidding it might be wise.
A wicked son requires the demon hoard to help him do holocaust and a good son desires Shiva join him in the battle only to lose on this world, but gain the eternal life. Such stories illustrate a belief in something like blood sacrifice for sins for righteousness and suffering for it, as you are not above your master who also suffers. The Sabeans of the first chapter of Job and praised in the Quran might put a moon as their symbol (a lesser light to rule the darkness) and do holocaust per the cuneiform on the righteous and their lineage.

As someone who's working tirelessly on a series of books and other projects, I can't help but admire many of the books on this list for a multitude of reasons. I've only gotten two sales on my first book, yet the passion the authors of many of these works had is something that keeps me going. I know I'll never be among their ranks, though if I can just be as caring to my books as they were to theirs, that's enough for me. It's a great inspiration. Thanks for the video friend! God bless!

I was working at Barnes and Noble bookstore when The Da Vinci Code was released. It was just your average book on a shelf that no one knew about until the Catholic Church made a stink about it, and we could not keep it on the shelf! We had so many customers asking when the next batch of books would come in, it was crazy.
My most memorable moment was when a priest visited our book store and prayed for us because we were exposed to the devil's work. He got so angry when I told him it was just a typical airport page turner. He told me I didn't understand how dangerous that book was. That dude was nuts.
I enjoyed seeing the Harry Potter fans show up for the book releases, they made it fun. They would show up for the midnight releases all dressed up. It was cool.
One thing I don't like about the comments I'm reading is the fact that a lot of you people are snobs, saying that your book is literature, and not any one else's. That's one thing I do not miss about working in a bookstore is dealing with snobs like you in person.

Interesting. No Dostoevsky. Hard to trust a list without him on it. Though, this list isn't all too surprising. It's all about marketability, as well as likability. Actually, Don Quixpte seems like a weird one to be even on this list, let alone number one. Makes me think most of those sales must be for schools. I don't really remember Don Quixote but, I do remember it being a bit like Shakespeare and hard to read. I guess there may be better translations, or perhaps it's fame has led it to being widely bought by literary fanatics. Though, I wouldn't think there's that many people out there that even care about classical literature. Hell, Shakespeare's not even on here. I hope my reread of this classic doesn't disappoint. I have it on my shelf but, I'm a bit nervous to revisit it. Maybe I just need to crack that puppy open and check her out. I think that's what I'll do.

Losing to the Hite report and American self-help books? Right...
All the round figures, with most of the Harry Potter books ending up selling the same amount, tells that this list is based mostly on pure guesswork.
