The beautiful thing about music is, you can often feel like time flies and life is passing you by but music takes you back to a certain time and gives you an old feeling along with new feelings. 6 years later and this song has deeper meaning than when i first heard it. I was 17 when i first heard this song and while i love it just as much as then it means more now.
I agree. I was 25 and in when i first heard this. Now, I find myself halfway around the world listening and thinking back. I have no regrets, though, I just love reminiscing from time to time.

I love this song because it doesn't have the usual breakdown - the melody aches for a shift but the Kings hang firm and ride it out all the way through. it's a gorgeous thing they've produced.

when i hear this song i remember my parents and their friends, my grandparents and my family. What they did, what they build. How many challenges and troubles. However how far did they get. And not less important, how much they have did for God, how many needy people they helped and how many lifes they changed. HOW MANY HISTORY THEY WRITE... In a certain way, i fell that intense lifestyle contamineded the water, the ground, their childrens and many lifes. I fell this radioactivity, and "it's in the water, it's in the history of wherer i came from". If you read this far and fell like i fell "just drink the water of wherer you came from, wherer you came from!!!".
just saw these guys live. they kicked ass and played this song, which brought it out from the dirt and hit me in the face with nostalgia. i still love this song and i always will. and seeing them live leaves this bittersweet feeling behind whenever i listen to their tunes now.

I saw them at Made In America in Philadelphia in 2014. It started raining the song before this. Then it just turned into a complete storm as this song was playing. The security was trying to make everyone leave but they just kept jamming out and the energy at the parkway was just insane. Craziest concert I’ve ever been too. I’ll never forget it
I was at Phish in Walnut Creek NC in 1997 and it started raining and thunder and lightning. The band actually jammed out with the thunder. It was unreal.

I've been listening to Kings of Leon since i was about 9 or 10 because of my father, and having them to listen to while growing up was amazing because as I got older I got to actually understand what I was listening to and love it that much more. I still listen to them all the time and they're an all time favorite because I never get tired of them! This particular song is very powerful.

kings of leon has been a huge part of my life, when my mum was pregnant with me she watches kings of leon live, it’s kinda ironic i adore them. KOL is like a way of escape, the last 2 years have been kinda crap and this band has just helped me so much.

It's so much that I love about this song. Kaleb's voice fully on fire, the gospel choir singing his heart out, the hard hitting drums that get even harder at the end, the tune that you can listen to nonstop on repeat, a really catchy tune and lastly it's a gospel that speaks of Jesus and salvation disguised as a rock song. When I first heard it I fell in love with it and love it ever since. Powerful song that rocks hard.

I saw them to a sold out T.D. Banknorth in Boston, MA Friday night 1.13.17 and I was super happy to see for my own eyes that people still show up for truly meaningful and artistically relevant artists today. The majority of the music being pushed today can't hold an ounce of this band's soul.

Way off, they're southern boys from Nashville. They sound similar to the indie rock/blues movement here (think Black Keys) but with really polished production values. The vocals are obviously very unique though.
