This film is filled to the brim with nuances, symbolism, attention to detail, great acting, etc. etc. I'm new to Campion's work but I'm already a big fan and can't wait to see more of her achievements. What a film!

@@fiuttello bro, that movie was a masterpiece. One of the best movies of all time in my opinion. It's crazy that Anna Paquin won an Oscar at her age 11 years old thanks to that movie, but she rightfully deserved it imo. She's phenomenal in that movie

This movie was so twisted and creepy. I LOVED it. Then I watched Benedict in the Electrified Life of Louis Wain (sorry if I spelled wrong) and convinced he is hands down one of the best actors in Hollywood.

I find Jane Campion's artistic work mesmerizing. She brought together some seriously talented people on this project, on-camera and off. It's a very special collaboration, for sure. Rarely do I want to see a movie twice, mostly to probe deeper, and this is one of those movies. I hope it wins a ton of awards.

This movie grabbed me and has haunted my thoughts since I saw it. It takes you on a journey that feels sinister but you have no idea where exactly it’s going. The pacing, nuance and acting is masterful. Visually stunning as well. I’m just in awe of the artistic visions of filmmakers.

Great movies are when you don't care which actors are playing the parts, or where you are watching it, because you are totally immersed in the film to the extent that it isn't a film, but it just IS! This is one of those incredibly rare movies.

I would not call it a masterpeice. The approche is not that inovative, using the camera and non-verbal cue to tell the story. Talking about the script, well there is not that much in it since most of it is non-verbal. Acting was good. Seen movies in 2021 that were much better at telling stories. Found the intention of the boy to use the latent homosexuality as a weapon was a bit disturbing to me, only realizing at the end that he was actually a killer. No I did not read the book or any materials before, went into it without any expectations. Glad I did, but not that happy I seen it.
