I love what you did with your diorama. I have been putting off building this model for years but have recently opened the box back up and I'm wanting to do a split diorama. Sort of a drydock exterior on one side and an underway interior on the other. Your build is a great inspiration.
I’m about 1/3 through this myself, and I hope it turns out half as good as this. I flirt with the idea of leaving the clear half off for clarity but I see you like others have done major surgery to it… I’m not sure I would be brave enough! Week done on a masterpiece anyway

I like how they're on outlook, while loading a torpedo in port, while firing the deck gun at targets, while listening for shipping on the hydrophone.

you can add some 1/48 tank turret on the boat, that will save some torpedo.
