We literally see the conversation in which Paris literally says "I know this isn't something we've ever talked about before." and then went on to say she would get punished and gaslighted for trying to trying to call/tell ger parents. Thats like saying that because certain concepts are socially constructed, they are false and serve no legitimate purpose…a common logical error. Can social constructs be questionable? Sure, but not all social constructs are problematic. Paris told the woman she could do better and to wait for her at baggage claim and Paris would give her a signed photo. Paris was true to her word and took out a photo from her luggage and signed it for her. I also read a security guy say that he used to work for her for a short while(not her official security guard) and ran into her at a restaurant. Paris came up to them after the restaurant sang happy birthday to wish him a happy birthday and that she remembered him. She quietly paid for the dinner for his entire table. I think she’s awesome.

isn't that the truth. So many of us dealt with similar issues or suffer as the result of parents choosing to do something they didn't realize would have an even worse situation. she fortunately, no matter whaat way we want to look at it, had money and the ability to become truly independent. Some project their issues outwardly or even with parents. its such a sad cycle.

It seems to me that Paris' mother is a narcissist and they don't have empathy for others' experiences, especially when they're dealing with a daughter who isn't their 'golden child' but is regarded as the 'black sheep' of the family. It's unfortunately normal for the daughter of a narcissistic mother to never receive any love just for being themselves but to be regarded as an extension of their mother and so they create a false persona to protect themselves from being further hurt and, they hope, to receive the approval of their mothers. Unfortunately, narcissistic mothers never give their daughters genuine love or approval so the quest for a mother who loves and approves of them is ultimately a futile one for the daughters of such women but they'll continue to seek their mothers love - until they eventually realise it's not going to happen - because it's human nature to want a mother who loves you. Narcissistic mothers do not tend to be psychologically insightful so they won't typically reflect on their own behaviours or on why they think about things the way they do let alone consider they might need to change themselves and they're not inclined to delve into understanding why their daughters behave as they do - except to perceive it as a reflection of their own worth as mothers.
So when Paris tells her mother that the places she was sent to abused her she was wise to only do so when the cameras were rolling because it's very likely her mother would have reacted with not just disbelief but anger and shut Paris down with gaslighting and verbal abuse, especially since she (Paris' mother) had made the decision to send Paris to those abusive places. When a narcissistic mother knows they're being filmed they'll typically change how they act to hide their normal toxic behaviours.
