That is not the correct way to remove the mirror cap. There are tabs on the inside of it which you prise apart, then pull it forward at the the same time

Yea. But now i see ppl doing it without removing the mirror. So 😳

@@cz1516 true, but if you point the mirror glass down and you are careful, you can access the tabs that way.
But it’s best to remove the mirror glass then you can clearly see and safely access those tabs. 👍

Our video shows one possible way to remove the original mirror caps, but of course it's not the only way. Many people may consider removing the glass the "correct" way to do it. But this isn't always advisable or even possible for many customers as the mirror glass is fragile.
