This is a quick guide to using countermeasures in the Viggen. I normally add timecodes for various specific events, but this video is so focused that it doesn't make much sense to do that here.
There's a big black knob labeled ''AS'' to the left of the radar stick. That's your anti jamming modes for the radar. I think there's 8 in total. You might want to consult the manual, or do trial and error to see which one works vs which jammer.
In the manual it says that knob has no function. Which means it's not implemented. It's funny because the Mig-21 has Jamming filters. In Chuck's guide it also has no mention of functionality besides labeling the switch itself
Update: it does work now, but atleast against ship radar's you're best off just setting it to the highest setting, and it filter's it very well. Definitely enough to get an accurate fix on them for weapons employment.
Chaff...and Flare..../pod/.That just.....*mind blown*
Yeah man. It looks like a missile 😂
Very useful! Thanks for your time and effort. 👍

Nice bro! Now I know more thanks to Your vid😊
Nice, thx
It’s weird i bought this yesterday to finish off my entire set of planes for DCS … But HUD is like off center … It was disappointing
The HUD points towards the next waypoint in NAV mode, bud. Maybe try reading the manual next time.
