Thanks again mate. Made this one today, but in the Weber. Used your rub in the description and finished it in the oven too, which was handy because it started raining here in Melbourne. Your videos are so helpful and make bbq so easy, cheers.

This can also easily be made in an upright barrel smoker or a bullet type water smoker.
I have a really nice offset smoker as well as an upright barrel smoker.
It's worth it to have an offset smoker here in Texas because a huge percentage of them are actually made here so they're as inexpensive as they get here plus we can get reasonably priced fuel as well.
      Are you in the USA?
If not then how much does a good offset smoker cost where you are?
Good ones are really heavy & I can't imagine how much it would cost just in shipping to Europe or Australia.

      @@LownSlowBasics That's not horrible.
Really it's not bad whether it's in AUD or USD for something that's going to give you a good product for decades if you take care of it.
I spent about $2000 on mine as it was a special wedding present to myself 22 years ago but we're talking about custom made with a trailer as well.
But I look at it this way - yes it's a big upfront investment but at 22 years out its still in beautiful shape for less than $200 a year.
It's 4:00 pm here in Texas and I just told my wife we're going out for barbecue for dinner tonight!!
I know a place here that does great pulled pork sandwiches!!
      Cheers to you

great video. i see so many of these BBQing "experts" on youtube dumping the juice and.. doing who knows what with it. throwing it out? that's half the flavor right there. i remember years ago following that advice and pulling it apart on its own on a butcher block like they do to show off for their videos, and it was fine, but just wasn't great. the next time around i decided to just keep the juices in the pan and pull it in the pan, and it was a hundred times better.

Aaron? My pellet smoker goes from 130c to the next selection which is 150c. I started a pulled pork today at 4.50am @130c. At 12.30pm it was only 64c internal. So I cranked up the pellet smoker to 150c. I wrapped in foil at internal of 64c, as even with spritzing it was still becoming too dry on the bark, within 10 mins. Is that ok to do??

    • @LownSlowBasics

It's really hard to say as I don't use a pellet too often. However I don't see an issue with what you've done at all.
