I agree with the first comment about thinning the forest around the sequoia trees I lived at the Y Camp for 4 years in the early sixties remember a fire that occurred on Haskins Hill we had to evacuate the camp they were lucky to put the fire out before he got serious
Redwoods are almost fireproof. Their thick bark doesn't burn and protects the wood underneath. That's how they live to be thousands of years old. Fire isn't really an issue.

Either humans thin it out or a fire will distoy it all.... pick wisely....
