These are the sturdiest ships I've ever seen. No matter how many years pass or what kind of conditions they go through. You can just lift them on a helicopter. Lightweight and durable.
The step they missed out in the movie clip was placing the main gunpowder charge into the muzzle of the cannon... then ramming the loose powder down to the chamber end with a long rammer (which is why those ropes are on cannons...so they can be brought back onboard and these operations carried out on a muzzle loading cannon (rather than swinging off a rope and trying to do this over the side of the ship). The cannonball actually should fit tightly...and also needs to be rammed down the barrel to rest on top of the powder charge. The powder you see being poured in is fast burning (small grained) priming powder... once that is ignited it burns very quickly and intensely which sets off the main rammed charge in the chamber ...boom!
@@XoIoRouge All that "priming powder" we saw needs to do is fill a very small hole that is drilled right through the metal wall of the cannon and touch the main powder charge in the cannon. Why didn't Sully just toss the bag into the cockpit real quick then reach out? He hesitated long enough to stare at it and make a choice, he could have easily just quickly chucked it inside and reached his hand out.
Exactly, he could’ve also pulled the helicopter back and lowered it a bit to leave the boat and the chopper steady
And her could have gone backwards to stop the anchor from destroying the ship
Also just one bar of gold is heavy so he could have dumped about half of it out
Or maybe even just secured the gold in one of countless places a helicopter would have.
