You don’t know the stress until the music starts playing
I know the stress the moment I realize cosmic mario mimics every move I make.
When I was younger I found cosmic Mario terrifying. That’s when I found out that I like horror games, and I replayed those levels a lot
same bruh i got this game when i was 4 and took me 2 years to get to the first cosmic mario level and i was terrified

When I was younger and I entered S1-2 for the first time, I got so much nightmares after playing that stage, especially at the very beginning of the level and the cool animation where the cosmic clone appears out of nowhere in the dark
This brings me back to the good old days. 😢
When I was about 11 or so, I’ve used to have this game and including playing these levels. So good memories.
I'm getting an extreme case of PTSD from these levels.

When I first came across this mysterious bastard in the special worlds on this game, the experience sure was very stressful but yet exciting for me at the same time. I still question myself from all these years on how I kept myself sane & how I managed to not brake the controls on my 3DS lmao
these levels terrified me as a kid
there's nothing quite like hearing that laugh and seeing that animation at the start of the level
If you think regular cosmic clone was stressful wait until you get to S 7-4

Same i was doing the special world a lot i trying to get special world crown now I'm doing all special worlds with mario not luigi because I did all levels in special world with luigi

When I was younger like, pfft, idk, 5? 7? I use to LOVE Cosmic Mario. I don’t what it was about him, I think it was just the different variations of Mario, and also, because Nintendo released an OFFICIAL EVIL MARIO. So, yeah, that may be why.
The small ones were ok but something about the big ones scared the hell out of me. I didn't want to play that level because of how scary they were

I used to play this game every single day on my 3ds until 2018. After that, I've completely stopped playing on my 3ds. I got so close to getting 100%. I might start back playing it again.
These cosmic clones were a mess in SMG2, Why they brought them back in 3D Land, developers are trolls.
These stages drove me crazy as a kid
Wanna know how much if an impact this stupid little cosmic gremlin had on kid me? It made have a nightmare where if I had Mario or Luigi touch a Poison Mushroom, they would die and have their corpses/limp bodies be turned into cosmic clones. Yeah it was that terrifying

So as to why Cosmic Clones are just in the mushroom kingdom now?
My best guess is that 3D land is after galaxy and due to not being in space, they hurt Mario or Luigi now, or some other reason.
Also the cutscene at the beginning might be something a long the lines of rediscovering the tanooki leaves As this game doesn't seem to be a prequel to a Mario 3, because since Dry Bowser also appears in the game it's after NSMBDS at least.

@@thesmilingman7576 I see what you are clarifying but no this is after either galaxy 1 or 2 cause they both have different timelines and cause cosmic clones that hurt you came from galaxy 2 so this game comes after from either 2.
