Two key features of the #TP9700 is that this radio is IP68 dust and waterproof. We tested the extremities of what it means to be IP68 waterproof by submerging the radio in a cooler bucket and freezing it for over 48 hours. Products with an IP68 rating are said to only be water resistant to a maximum depth of 5 feet (1.5 meters) for up to 30 minutes!
