You should store the name of your waifu in your ssd, or in Haachama's case, in her hdd, and not in your ram. When Hachaama's brain gets turned off, all the data in her ram is lost, and this seems to happen quite often.
If you want to try Shiny Colors, there's an unofficial English patch! I'm one of the translators for Kogane, and it's great fun deciphering her dialect and then transforming it into a Southern US accent.

I heard japanese people remember names from their written letter so if the kanji are difficult they'll have harder times remembering it I'm glad romaji are easy to remember
To put into perspective how easy (hard) it is to remember her name, Kogane can be split into 恋 ko(i) [love] and 鐘 gane [bell]. 恋 is an N3 level kanji (think basic conversation) and 鐘 is an N2 level kanji (think business conversation). Though as a native, her contact with said kanji might differ.
I really don't understand why she cannot read this one, as a native. I may understand that it is unusual for 恋 to be read as ko but 鐘 should be very easy to remember.
