I've been using the M'Cheyne bible reading plan for years now and I won't let it go! I recommend you read Holiness by JC Ryle, also banner of truth book.....it will be another instrument of God to guide you in, and teach you about, the wonderful journey of sanctification.
I was in our church library one Sunday after the worship service and looking for a biography to read. There was also in the library a dear elderly sister in the Lord who was converted while she and her family were interned in a Japanese internment camp during WW2. I asked her if she could recommend a good biography. She immediately took Memoirs and Remains of Mcheyne off the shelf and handed it to me. This book greatly impacted my walk with the Lord. I am ever grateful the day this book was placed in my hands more than 30 years ago.
I am going to get this book, I wasn't aware of it, thank you. I pretty much stick to the writers of that era because they are trustworthy. Bible above all of course💟

The Bible, David Brainerd's diary and the Memoir and Remains of Mccheyne are 3 books I'd want if stranded on a deserted island!
