I’m crying. Pidge was on a mission since the beginning of season 1 to get her family back. The amount of time, energy, effort and love she put into finding her family (and gaining a new one) is unbelievable. She’s so strong and so smart and I know she’s a fictional character but holy frick I aspire to be like her someday. She’s incredible. This song usually doesn’t make me cry but seeing Pidge go through all of this, not once giving up in her journey to find her family and bring them home, did. Thanks for making this video, it was touching.

I like this video. Also, why did everyone think Pidge was a boy? I mean, she gave, like, zero indication, ever. Lance and the picture were the only things that gave the viewers that idea- and Lance is a, frank, moron sometimes, and the picture looked like siblings. If her prime directive was to find her brother and that picture keeps popping up, you have to assume the other person in the pic is Pidge.I think it's super cool there's a girl paladin with a normal-ish backstory (you don't see people's families lost on a planet's moon every day). After all, the boys aren't the only ones who are brave. And I know Allura joins the team as the newest Paladin when Keith leaves, but Pidge was the first girl in that generation's team. She has every right to get attention.She's one of the primary focus characters, other than Shiro, Allura, and Keith. I don't know about you, but I want to see some backstory from Hunk and Lance, maybe even Coran, even though he's kinda the chaperone.
morgan of puffinclaws Main reason: Pidge was male in the other iterations of the franchise, so in the absence of anyone specifically stating she was female in this one, most just went with that as a template. And I agree that Hunk and Coran need MUCH more development in this. Coran has that "Sad Clown" vibe to him, like he cries himself to sleep every night and puts on a strong front for Alurra and the Paladins.

i kind of feel like the ending juxtaposed the rest quite a bit - I loved the amv but the soft, sad tone of the song didn't suit the empowering, post-action clip as much as plenty of others would, so i'm wondering why you chose that one. care to share?
how about Pidge thanking Shiro for saving her brother? the hug and gratitude and protection seems appropriate considering the tone of the song or maybe Lance being shown how far from home they are, how NOT safe and sound they are? or the hologram exercise from the 2nd episode, showing what makes them all think of home? This video brings me so much pain. It’s so sad. I kinda know what it’s like to be Pidge. I was taken from my parents when I was three years old and now I’m 17. It still hurts to this day. And then this year my adoptive dad died to cancer. I’m in so much pain. So In a way I can sympathize with Pidge. My biological mom also died when I was 7 or 8.
